Available Positions Bankruptcy/Finance Paralegal Chicago Office Assist attorneys with case management representing secured and unsecured creditors. Prepare initial legal documentation including court notices, proofs of claim and preference analyses in adversary cases. Review court dockets and Westlaw to obtain cases as requested. Electronically file (or coordinate filing) of documents through CM/ECF with federal bankruptcy courts. File proofs of claim with claims agents. Research local rules and filing procedures in various districts to finalize pleadings. Coordinate distribution of ECF documents to ensure that all parties are properly served. Review and organize pleadings and court documents in preparation for any court hearings. Document preparation and distribution, preparation and filing of documents/uccs for closings, as well as postclosing document preparation and distributions Must have ability to perform due diligence, organize documents and draft closing documents Provide assistance to attorneys through general case management, including docketing deadlines and claims status, by reviewing dockets and pleadings. Annually log at least 1,500 billable hours. A bachelor s degree is required and an ABA-approved paralegal certificate is preferred. Minimum of 3 years related experience with bankruptcy procedures. Strong knowledge of Bankruptcy Code Chapters 7, 11 and 13. Familiarity with UCCs, including Revised Article 9 Experience in commercial lending/asset-based financing and merger and acquisition transactional work Willingness to work overtime. Ability to work independently under strict deadlines. Candidate must be extremely organized. Ability to delegate tasks and efficiently utilize project assistant are a must. Billing Specialist Chicago Office The firm is seeking a Billing Specialist to work 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. To qualify for this position, candidates should have an associate s degree with at least three years experience in billing in a professional services environment including Multi-currency and Elite time and billing software. The position will be responsible for all aspects of

2 monthly billing and processing complex bills. The ideal candidate shall possess strong organizational, interpersonal, written and oral skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel. Corporate Paralegal/Project Assistant Manager Chicago Office The Paralegal and Project Assistant Manager will provide leadership, direction, supervision and overall management of the corporate paralegals and project assistants in all offices within the following practice areas: General Corporate, Finance & Transactions, Global Transportation & Finance, Bankruptcy & Insolvency, Capital Markets & Securities, Investment Services, Real Estate and Tax & Estate Planning. The position requires excellent management and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and conduct performance reviews, analyze productivity and profitability, and coordinate workflow as needed. Coordinate the paralegal and project assistant evaluation process, propose salary increases following the firms general guidelines and provide feedback to paralegal personnel during performance evaluations Coach and mentor paralegal and project assistant personnel on the continued improvement of their legal and interpersonal skills Participate in the hiring process by evaluating all new hire requests, including financial analysis, preparation of request to hire and interviewing candidates Arrange and oversee orientation of new hires to the firm and participate in attorney orientation Provide and coordinate training on practice area-related procedures to ensure consistent work product and updated skills Provide and coordinate training on firm-related procedures including but not limited to timekeeping, time management, management and file organization Create and maintain written documentation of all processes associated with managing the specific procedures of paralegal and project assistant personnel and practice areas Review weekly billable time reports from paralegal and project assistant personnel Monitor and report billable hours of all paralegal and project assistant personnel on a monthly basis Assist with preparation of the paralegal and project assistant budget and monitor expenses Coordinate long-term schedules and vacation coverage of paralegal and project assistant personnel Measure workload and productivity, and coordinate reassignments, as needed Conduct group meetings and attend practice area meetings, and communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats Recommend policy and procedural changes to firm management and arrange for implementation Supervise maintenance of deal rooms and work with Records Manager to coordinate movement of deal files to Records Center, off-site storage or return to client Monitor timely payment of vendor invoices for firm accounts Maintain 500 hours of chargeable time annually Other special projects as needed

3 Five or more years of practice area-specific paralegal experience, including at least two years in a supervisory role Individual should be able to operate at a high performance level with minimum supervision, make decisions in accordance with applicable policies, procedures and guidelines of the firm, and discern when attorney or supervisor involvement is necessary Individual must be a self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at once, prioritize matters and meet deadlines A bachelor s degree is required, and a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program is preferred Document Center Operator Chicago Office Immigration Paralegal Chicago Office The firm is seeking a Business Immigration Paralegal to work in its Chicago office. Responsibilities include managing individual caseload for non-immigrant and immigrant visa matters; preparing and filing non-immigrant and immigrant petitions and applications, including all employment-related categories; PERM labor certification applications; EB-1, 2 and 3 petitions; adjustment applications, and visa and naturalization applications. Will require interaction with USCIS, DOL, DOS, CBP, ICE and other government agencies. Knowledge of compliance issues a plus. Additional responsibilities include: Preparing, submitting and monitoring petitions/applications with government agencies Managing active cases of foreign nationals employed in the United States Providing guidance to foreign nationals in anticipation of visa interviews at consulates abroad Administering LawLogix immigration software Analyzing and organize records Annually logging at least 1,500 billable hours Preparing and file expat visa applications Assisting in conducting I-9 audits ABA-approved paralegal certificate or bachelor s degree is required Minimum five (5) years law firm or corporate experience in Business Immigration Strong knowledge of LawLogix Immigration software preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Keen attention to detail Willingness to work overtime Ability to work independently under tight deadlines

The Proofreader examines a variety of documents and publications related to the firm and its practice areas to ensure accuracy and consistency based on firm guidelines and the rules set forth in the Chicago Manual of Style and Bluebook. Proofread PDF documents converted to MS Word to ensure proper character recognition occurred in the process Proofread documents prepared by Document Center Operators to confirm all formatting and edits were done correctly Read attorney documents for adherence to the preferences set forth in the Chicago Manual of Style Proofread documents to ensure accurate spelling, grammar and punctuation Ensure legal citations adhere to the citation forms set forth in the Bluebook Keep apprised of varying department and attorney style preferences Work closely with the Marketing department in maintaining its own departmental style and branding; complete fullread/word-for-word proofreading of materials and make recommendations accordingly Assist in marking documents for Tables of Authorities and Points and Authorities and check for section references and defined terms Identify inconsistencies and recommend improvements Manage and prioritize a high volume of work under tight deadlines Bachelor's degree in English (or related discipline) or equivalent work experience Expert knowledge of proofreaders' marks Strong copyediting skills 1-5 years' proofreading experience, preferably at a law firm
