2 About us Federation of Kenya Employers [FKE] is the voice of Employers and the leading employers membership body in Kenya, established in 1959 under the Trade Unions Act Cap 233 (now repealed) to represent the collective interest of employers in Kenya. FKE is charged with lobbying and advocacy on behalf of employers at the tripartite level involving the Government, Employers and Workers. FKE has an excellent working relationship and is represented on the board of the International Organization of Employers (IOE), International Labour Organization (ILO), and Business Africa - Employers Confederation whose headquarters are in Nairobi. Our goal is to have competitive and empowered employers in Kenya while improving the business environment through advocacy, effective representation; social dialogue and provision of value add services. 9 Female Future Leadership Programme The Female Future Program aims to inspire and empower women to take on higher level leadership roles by emphasizing on Leadership Development, Board Room Competence, Rhetoric, Network Building and facilitating greater visibility. This course is about adding to the talent pool for the recruitment of more women to senior executive positions and the board room. Executive Diploma in Industrial Relations (EDIR) Effective management of labour at the workplace minimizes labour disputes, non compliance penalties and unnecessary legal suits. This is exactly what this course seeks to achieve. Two intakes will take place in February & August Classes are held on Saturdays (9am -5pm) at USIU-Africa. The final diploma award is done jointly by USIU-Africa and FKE. Duration: As an executive program it is designed to be conducted over a period of one year with a lot of practical and industry exposure.
