4 Higher Education and Training, Department of/ Hoër Onderwys en Opleiding, Departement van 624 Skills Development Act (SDA) (97/1998): Nomination of Accounting Authority No GOVERNMENT GAZETTE, 30 JUNE 2017 Government Notices Goewermentskennisgewings DEPARTMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND TRAINING NO JUNE 2017 Scope of work: The term of office for all Accounting Authorities of Sector Education and Training Authorities will expire on 31 March The Minister for The Department of Higher Education and Training invites applications from suitably qualified persons for service as members of the FP &M SETA Accounting Authority. Call for nominations: Candidates to be appointed by the Minister of Higher Education and Training, Dr B Nzimande, as Members of the Accounting Authority (Board) of the Fibre Processing and Manufacturing Sector Education and Training Authority (FP &M SETA). The FP &M SETA is a Schedule 3 public entity established in terms of Section g(1) of the Skills Development Act (SDA), No 97 of The Mandate of the FP &M SETA is to facilitate skills development in the following subsectors: Clothing, Textiles, Furniture, Forestry, Footwear, Leather, Printing, Packaging, Publishing, Wood Products, Pulp and Paper and General Goods. Nm tres*. a..nalw1...11a DM NOMINATION OF ACCOUNTING AUTHORITY The Minister for The Department of Higher Education and Training invites applications from suitably qualified persons for service as members of the FP &M SETA Board. The Minister will consider candidates with proven experience in fostering good governance, understanding of the legislative and policy framework applicable to the FP &M SETA as well as government policies and plans applicable to the subsectors referred to above. The Accounting Authorities must be constituted by six persons representing Organised Labour, six persons from Organised Employers and two persons who must be nominated by: a) any government department that has an interest in the relevant sector and that is not an Organised employer, b) any interested professional body; c) any bargaining council with jurisdiction in the sector in question; or d) any Organisation in a community that has an identifiable interest in skills development in the sector in question. Nominated representatives from Organised Labour, Organised Employers, recognised Professional Bodies as well as Civil Society with interest in the FP &M SETA subsectors should have competencies in one or more of the following disciplines: Application of corporate governance and ethics Skills development legislation and the NSDS Ill The PFMA Financial management Education, training, skills development and human resources development Quality assurance of learning provision. Nominations must contain a full motivation, the full names and contact details of the Interested parties making the nominations, a signed nomination form and acceptance of the nomination by the nominee, an ID copy and Curriculum Vitae of the nominee providing, among others, the candidate's: Full name and gender Contact address, telephone and fax numbers and address Previous experience and relevant expertise, quoting dates and organisations concerned Academic qualifications Other Board membership. Nomination and acceptance of nomination forms are available on our website: &MSETA.org.za Candidates will be subjected to clearance and disclosure of business interests. Correspondence will be limited to short- listed candidates only. To all suppliers and potential suppliers of goods to the Government Printing Works The Government Printing Works would like to warn members of the public against an organised syndicate(s) scamming unsuspecting members of the public and claiming to act on behalf of the Government Printing Works. One of the ways in which the syndicate operates is by requesting quotations for various goods and services on a quotation form with the logo of the Government Printing Works. Once the official order is placed the syndicate requesting upfront payment before delivery will take place. Once the upfront payment is done the syndicate do not deliver the goods and service provider then expect payment from Government Printing Works. Government Printing Works condemns such illegal activities and encourages service providers to confirm the legitimacy of purchase orders with GPW SCM, prior to processing and delivery of goods.
