1 Full Time Immediate commencement 1. The College West Moreton Anglican College (WestMAC) is a Prep to Year 12 co-educational Anglican school that promotes a balanced schooling experience and individualised learning. Given our commitment to child protection, all teachers employed by WestMAC must be registered with the Queensland College of Teachers prior to appointment. This registration must be fully maintained. Queensland teachers are exempt from requiring a Working with Children Check (Blue Card), however as part of the recruitment process teachers will be subject to checks through the Anglican Schools Commission. All non-academic staff invariably interact with children on a regular basis. Many have direct supervisory and support duties which are identified in their position descriptions. All non-academic staff (ie administrative, support, facilities and ancillary) must undergo a Working with Children Check and maintain a positive notice and Blue Card. Applications must be completed prior to commencement and a positive notification is a firm condition of continuing employment. As part of the recruitment process, these staff will also be subject to checks through the Anglican Schools Commission. 2. The Role The IT Professional is responsible for providing IT support to College stakeholders. This position will involve the maintenance and ongoing development of IT hardware and application solutions at WestMAC. 3. Selection Criteria SC1 SC2 SC3 SC4 Eligible to work in Australia, with a sound knowledge of hardware including peripherals such as printers, scanners and modems including the ability to trouble shoot, diagnose and repair most hardware faults. Demonstrated knowledge of all workstation and server operating systems in particular the Microsoft Windows Suite. Good organisational skills, with the ability to plan daily tasks. Demonstrated ability to relate well to all levels of customers from students to staff.

Position Summary The IT Professional is responsible for providing IT support to College stakeholders. This position will involve the maintenance and ongoing development of IT hardware and application solutions at WestMAC. 3. Key Responsibilities Help Desk Management Receiving, prioritising and resolving IT support calls within the guidelines of the team s Service Level Agreement. Managing the Help Desk queue and escalating helpdesk calls to ensure compliance with agreed SLA s Audio Visual Implement AV solutions as required by the College. This includes both day-to-day College requirements and special events. Maintain and support in-classroom AV equipment including Touch Screen TV s, projectors and WIDI devices. Identity Cards The production and issue of all Staff and Student ID cards as required. Provisioning of ICT Equipment Provision ICT equipment for staff and students including Laptops, Desktops, Tablets and mobiles devices. Printer Management Maintain the College fleet of printers and photocopiers including the replacement of toner and drum cartridges.

4 Provision of Training Provide telephone, and/or onsite training to staff and students in relation to hardware, software and services provided by the Technology & Information Services Department. College Administration System Ensure operation of all College Administration IT Systems. Work with administrators and teachers to understand their requirements with regard to College Administration Systems. Liaise with the suppliers of the College s Administration Systems to ensure they understand our requirements. Data Integrity Ensure all data backups are scheduled, functioning and are stored according to procedures and guidelines. ICT Suppliers Liaise with ICT suppliers to attain quotes, place orders and receive goods. Record all ICT assets in the College asset management systems. Project Work Assisting with ICT Project Work where required involving hardware, software and networking projects. Working Practices Work within the Operational and Service Level Agreement policies of the Technology & Information Services team. Arrange liaison with third party vendors to organise warranty/non warranty repairs on ICT equipment. Included in this role is the expectation that the employee will support the conditions outlined in the ICT Support Out of Hours Policy. Assist in maintaining the School s active directory to ensure all staff/student queries have been addressed (long ons, passwords); the School s Group Policy environment and the School s internet connections and intranet service. General IT Duties Other duties related to the ongoing support and development of IT solutions at West Moreton Anglican College, as directed by the ICT Manager. 4. 5 Software Sound knowledge of all workstation operating systems in particular the Microsoft Windows Suite. Sound knowledge of all server operating systems in particular the Microsoft Windows Suite. Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of programs. Sound knowledge of the software available for administrative and networking purposes. The ability to install and configure most software available for workstations or servers. The ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair most software problems. Organisational Skills The ability to plan daily tasks arising from the Help Desk Call Register. The ability to monitor and follow to completion the more complex Help Desk faults. The ability to follow instructions and undertake tasks with limited supervision. Be a self-starter. Communication Skills Good telephone manner clear, courteous and efficient. The ability to relate well to all levels of customers from students to staff. The ability to prepare basic correspondence utilizing correct grammar and spelling. The ability to express instructions and advice clearly and concisely. The ability to demonstrate required procedures by use of all available media. Team Skills The ability to work as part of a team, in particular the sharing of duties, information and hours of attendance to meet sectional requirements during busy periods eg reporting, equipment rollouts. The ability to treat other team members requirements and feelings with empathy. Desirable: Successful completion of an IT related course. Knowledge of and ability to use The Alpha School System (TASS) software. Experience working in a school environment. 6. General Terms Comply with all requirements of the Anglican Church Southern Queensland Policy and Procedures Manual - Safeguarding Our Students. Comply with requirements of Queensland Workplace Health and Safety Legislation and related Workplace Health and Safety responsibilities and procedures within West Moreton Anglican College. Take full responsibility for compliance with all WestMAC policies, procedures and risk management strategies Possession of, or the ability to acquire, a current Blue Card (Working with Children Check by Blue Card Services).
