1 JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Location: Senior Regional Manager, Europe & MENA Prince s Trust House, London (with approximately 30% of time spent overseas) Introduction Prince s Trust International has been created to address the demand for advice and expertise from governments and NGOs around the world seeking to tackle youth unemployment. Prince s Trust International works in partnership with organisations around the world to support young people aged into work, education and training. Founded by HRH, The Prince of Wales in November 2015, Prince s Trust International has been established to share the successful programmes and expertise of The Prince s Trust, which over the last 40 years has helped over 870,000 young people to transform their lives in the UK. By working together with local partners we hope to support young people in communities around the world to realise their potential. This is achieved by posting expert staff to assist with the delivery of initial pilot programmes, tailoring to the local need, and providing ongoing support to enable sustainable future delivery. Context of the Role Globally, it is estimated that around 70 million young people more than one in ten are out of work. Having built effective programmes and strong partnerships to help empower young people and support them into jobs and self-employment in the United Kingdom; public and private organisations around the world have been turning to Prince s Trust International in their search for solutions to youth unemployment and to learn from the experience of The Prince s Trust in helping young people into work. Prince s Trust International draws on the programme portfolio developed by The Prince s Trust in the UK and is currently running pilot and rollout projects to test and grow our models & develop new ones across a variety of countries, working with governments and NGOs, as well as corporate partners. As we move into our exciting 5 year strategy we aim to significantly upscale our operations and to make a tangible and sustainable difference.

2 We are seeking a Senior Regional Programmes Manager who is able to drive this growth of our programme activity working with local delivery partners to build capacity and capability to ultimately deliver great programmes that result in positive outcomes for our young people in Europe and MENA (Middle East & North Africa). They will need to be able to manage strategic implementation plans to scope potential new countries and develop pilot programmes in these whilst building a growing existing delivery. This role is central to growing and development of Prince s Trust International s Projects and Programmes in new countries and with new partners that supports young people to Live, Learn and Earn across countries in Europe & MENA. Responsible to: Senior Head of International Programmes Key Relationships: Prince s Trust International Programmes Team Prince s Trust International Strategy and Operations Manager Project Partners Other Prince s Trust International Head Office Functions and Departments as required In-country stakeholders, employers, and potential partners as required Budget: Responsible for managing the relevant project budgets within the financial management guidelines, and for supporting the Prince s Trust International team to maximise draw down on the relevant funding contract. Detailed Responsibilities: 1. To contribute as required to assessing needs, analysing existing provision, identifying whether and how needs can be addressed, in consultation with relevant stakeholders and partners on a country by country basis within the allocated region. 2. To develop, plan and manage pilot & established projects and programmes which address the demand by governments, NGOs or other agencies for advice or assistance in tackling youth unemployment or bridging the gap between education and employment. 3. To help recruit, develop, train and manage programme teams, including delivery partner staff, secondees and volunteers as required for programmes. 4. Compliance with Prince s Trust International guidelines on the requirements of Recruiting Safely, Safeguarding, and Health and Safety Policies. 5. To ensure implementation of pilot projects and programmes in accordance with targets and deadlines agreed by partners, stakeholders and funders and to the relevant standards. 6. To establish and maintain good working relationships between Prince s Trust International and local partner organisations and any other stakeholders on each programme. 7. To provide advice and support, and arrange visits, training and capacity building for programme staff, delivery partners, as well as new contacts from governments and NGOs interested in learning about Prince s Trust programmes and the work of Prince s Trust International.

To maintain good knowledge of all Prince s Trust programmes and keep informed of all policy developments and programme innovations, as these form the basis of Prince s Trust International s offer of products and services. 9. Ensure due diligence on potential delivery partners and employers in-country for the launch and/or growth PTI Programmes and Projects. 10. Manage and monitor budgets, ensuring maximize draw down on funding whilst delivering efficient use of resources. Responsible for accurate and up to date financial reporting for internal and external purposes 11. Keep up to date with developments in with relevant global issues for young people, with special focus on current affairs and policy developments in target countries, especially in relation to potential opportunities to develop or enhance Prince s Trust International programmes 12. Carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required by Prince s Trust International, when required.

4 PERSON SPECIFICATION The successful candidate will be a resilient, enthusiastic, self-starter with a strong understanding of the challenges facing young people to Live, Learn and Earn in Europe & MENA, and the ability to deliver results under challenging and varied circumstances. They will have experience of the work of organisations such as The Prince s Trust and enthusiasm and passion for the vision of Prince s Trust International, as well as a conviction to deliver high positive outcomes for young people. Although not essential they will benefit from working with an International NGO. They should be able to demonstrate that they can deliver results through both direct and non-direct reporting teams. Please reference all essential criteria in your application as a minimum, and please note that (S) indicates priority initial shortlisting criteria Criteria Essential Desirable Skills and Knowledge: Strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities for young people overseas (S) Specific knowledge of employment Knowledge of employment training and social, economic, cultural contexts in Prince s Trust International priority countries training and social, economic and cultural contexts in Knowledge of how to monitor and manage budgets, operating within agreed limits one or more of PTI priority countries. Excellent planning and organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, both independently and within a team (S) Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to work with a wide range of external and internal customers and stakeholders from different countries and cultures (S) Knowledge of processes for monitoring and evaluation Strong awareness and understanding of equal opportunities and the ability to translate these into effective action Experience: Experience of programme or project management, developing programmes to meet the needs of young people and partners (S) Experience of working directly with young people in the UK or in an NGO with young people overseas (S) Experience of working collaboratively within a complex organisation and successfully delivering projects or initiatives that span disciplines and reporting lines (S) Experience of managing relationships with multiple stakeholders and partners, including governments, agencies, and public bodies (S) Worked with KPIs and other measures to develop a performance and accountability culture. Experience and ability to lead, organise and motivate a diverse team Experience of using , internet, wordprocessing and spreadsheet packages, accurately and with good attention to detail Experience of working directly with young people from Prince s Trust International target groups Experience of developing or delivering a digital service for young people.
