1 Regional Manager A Regional Manager has accountability for supporting the delivery of Agenda 3 within their geographic region. Preparing, planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating regional and local strategies to ensure the delivery of all aspects of a sustainable game within the region is a key measure of success. They will support their Regional Director to effectively implement Agenda 3 across their region. They lead and support culture change within the game, ensuring increased engagement with clubs to create a shared vision and sustainable game. They support the practical delivery of workshops and courses for referees, coaches, volunteers, players and parents. They promote Scottish Rugby at all times, believe passionately in the difference rugby can make to the lives of players and in turn to wider society and communities and this drives their tenacity to grow the game.

2 Key Accountabilities Support the delivery of Agenda 3 and the creation of operational plans with SMART objectives for the region Manage the development of relationships with Local Authorities, sportscotland, Scottish Government, Scottish Rugby sponsors and other stakeholders Undertake annual mapping of rugby activity within the region to support and measure success Ensure clubs, schools, colleges and universities in the region adhere to and comply with the processes and requirements for the Protection of Vulnerable groups (PVG), player welfare, and other Scottish Rugby operational requirements, offering guidance and support Lead the practical delivery of training and education, referee development, player welfare, player meetings, women and girl s and student and university rugby in the region Manage the planning, implementation and delivery of regional player development centres and regional squads thus ensuring the development of young players for the club game Manage the delivery of the Scottish Government s Cashback programme and the Schools of Rugby Support the delivery of different club models to support clubs to attract and retain new members including the integration of women/girls sections, and other game formats, enabling clubs to become community hubs Support the planning and implementation of regional and local coaching workshops for clubs, schools, colleges and universities and other key stakeholders Ensure clubs and schools provide information required by Scottish Rugby, including funding stream data Attend monthly team meetings and regional meetings to review and disseminate information on programme delivery and outcomes, sharing best practice Provide continuous monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of KPI s Accountable for the annual stakeholder satisfaction survey, ensuring data collection and engagement from the regional rugby community. Lead on a National project which contributes to Agenda 3 s overall aims and objectives.

3 Meet a Regional Manager As the public face of Scottish Rugby within my region, I can make a difference by offering practical support to all stakeholders within my area. I support my Regional Director to deliver Agenda 3 by creating local action plans that support clubs, schools, colleges and universities with their own objectives and aims. Developing young players is a priority, whether it be through different funding channels, school conferences, or supporting clubs to attract new members by promoting new game formats. As the interface between Scottish Rugby and the community, I am able to provide practical solutions to local issues, whilst ensuring clubs and schools provide any required data for compliance purposes. Tom Brown Regional Manager, Scottish Rugby Tom Brown is a Regional Manager for Scottish Rugby. His success within the role is due in part for his desire to make a difference and grow the game in every aspect across his region. Tom supports the development and implementation of local plans which support the development of the game. Tom has exceptional relationships with all stakeholders within the region, and therefore able to understand the challenges they face, creating bespoke local plans to ensure success.

Act as a business advisor Offer guidance and support on all areas of rugby development Provide advice on all areas of player welfare Set clear SMART plans and work with the clubs to achieve their aims Share best practice Constantly gathers best practice case studies and shares with colleagues Shares best practice across other regions and learns lessons from others to take back to their region Attend monthly team meetings and regional meetings to review and disseminate information on programme delivery and outcomes, sharing best practise
