It is aiming t use film in all its guises t transfrm peple s lives thrugh the watching, making and understanding f film. The CMI has undergne significant change and grwth since it was established frm the merger f Filmhuse and Edinburgh Internatinal Film Festival seven years ag in This has seen its turnver increase by 80%, its reach becming genuinely natinal, and its influence being felt bth directly and indirectly thrugh the range f sectral partnerships it is invlved in. The CMI currently incrprates Sctland s leading independent cinema, Filmhuse, the wrld s lngest cntinually running film festival, Edinburgh Internatinal Film Festival, the Filmhuse Café Bar, and the Belmnt Filmhuse in Aberdeen. The CMI is a funding member f Scttish Film Limited (alng with Dundee Cntemprary Arts, Eden Curt and Glasgw Film), delivering Film Hub Sctland and the Scttish Film Educatin Prgramme, is wrking in partnership with Hpsctch and Digicult in delivering the Scttish Film Talent Netwrk, is a funding member f the Edinburgh Cultural Venues Grup, and is a funding member f Festivals Edinburgh. Purpse f rle Reprting t the Develpment Manager, the Develpment Officer pst is respnsible fr c-rdinating activities related t incme generatin, in-kind supprt and partnerships acrss the CMI. The Develpment Officer will cntribute t the cntinued delivery f the CMI s develpment and partnership strategy, develping and managing relatinships with existing and ptential dnrs, funders and spnsrs trusts and fundatins, crprate, cultural and private prmting the wrk f the CMI and seeking supprt fr its prgrammes, prjects and activities. Each member f staff has an individual and cllective respnsibility t prmte the values, visin and aims and bjectives f the Centre fr the Mving Image.

2 Key Result Areas Cntribute t team achievement f revenue targets T identify and secure new funding partners, including crprate spnsrs, trust and fundatins, cultural funders, and individual dnrs T maintain and develp agreements with existing funding partners, including crprate spnsrs, trust and fundatins, cultural funders, and individual dnrs T prvide an excellent service t all Partners, ensuring all cntracts are delivered, benefits are received, and reprting is cmpleted accurately and n time Respnsibilities The purpse f the rle is t cntribute t the team s success in maintaining and develping relatinships with the CMI s varius partners, and t maximise the revenue brught in by the department t supprt cre activities acrss the business. Principal respnsibilities: Identify, research and develp new funding relatinships t supprt the wrk f the CMI s Festival, Cinema and Audience Develpment, Educatin and Learning, and Talent Develpment and Industry strategies. Manage relatinships with a prtfli f existing Partners, with ultimate respnsibility fr their renewed supprt f the CMI. Identify and secure in-kind partnerships. Generate additinal incme thrugh advertising and ther B2B sales. Supprt the develpment f prgress reprts fr funders and ther external stakehlders, wrking clsely with relevant teams acrss the CMI. C-rdinate relevant Develpment events and hspitality activities year-rund. Supprt relatinships with key stakehlders year rund (and during EIFF) and, where apprpriate, representing the CMI at external events. C-rdinate the financial administratin f relevant funding, sales and spnsrship agreements, including raising invices and draw dwn requests, wrking clsely with the Finance team. General respnsibilities: Cmmunicate effectively with clleagues and departments acrss the CMI t share infrmatin, achieve deadlines and prmte a psitive wrking envirnment. Attend meetings and prvide prgress and financial reprts as required. Cntribute t the successful delivery f prjects acrss the CMI. Any ther tasks as required in line with the pririties f the Develpment Team. 2

3 Envirnmental Sustainability It is the respnsibility f all staff t minimise the CMI s envirnmental impact wherever pssible and adhere t the cmpany s Envirnmental Plicy. This will include: recycling; switching ff lights, cmputers, mnitrs and equipment when nt in use; helping t reduce paper waste by minimising printing/cpying and reducing water usage; reprting faults and heating/cling cncerns prmptly; minimising carbn ftprint when travelling. Where the rle includes the rdering and use f supplies r equipment the pst hlder will cnsider the envirnmental impact f purchases. Skills & Experience Essential: Experience f wrking in a sales r fundraising envirnment. Ability t wrk t a high standard under pressure t ensure deadlines and targets met. Exceptinal relatinship management skills. An understanding f crprate spnsrship and the pprtunities this presents t crprate brands. Excellent cmmunicatin and interpersnal skills. Experience f maintaining excellent wrking relatinships with a variety f funding partners (crprate spnsrs, trusts and fundatins, cultural funders and/r individual dnrs). Strng administrative and wrd prcessing skills. High level f literacy and reprt writing. Excellent prblem slving and creative thinking skills. Desirable: Knwledge f grant-making rganisatins. Previus experience f wrking in an arts, festival, r cultural envirnment.
