2 3. Key Responsibilities and Duties Teaching and Learning Job Description Teach blended learning modules within the Chartered Management Degree Apprenticeship. You will have a speciality e.g. managing and leading, strategy, finance, marketing or operations management. Importantly, you are required to understand business and managing across different sectors and in different contexts. Knowing how to integrate concepts and ideas from multiple fields/ functional areas to use in real situations needs to be a forte. You need to be able to teach how to manage using facilitation. Assessing learning in varied ways, to create a student journey, is vital. Collaborating with coaches dedicated to developing students holistically is a key duty. Module improvement Use professional judgement, academic knowledge and practice based understanding to keep modules up to date, efficient at creating learning gain in all students and able to scaffold students towards highly personalised work based learning. Driving efficiency gains Efficiency matters at QA. We do not want to waste time on processes or activities that do not add value to students within our carefully managed accounts. 4. Key Performance Indicators - KPI s As per QA Recruitment training and: NPS score Above 65% - achieved through Teaching that promotes learning gain aligned to student and employer needs Module and student administration Speedy reactions to feedback Coaching You respond positively to coaching by Wanting to be coached Being willing to coach others (e.g. other assistant lecturers and coaches who you will collaborate with) Take noticeable action following coaching 2

3 Continual improvement You will be expected to actively contribute to the the continual improvement of modules and contribute to whole programme ideas through Sharing, evaluation and implementation of ideas about trends in business education and work based learning Seeking out and implementing efficiencies in all that we do and how we add value Becoming a reflective practitioner who role models to students how to improve one s own professional practice 5. Skills, Competencies and Qualifications You will need the following A Masters degree preferably in business* Teaching and learning experience, including work based learning and a specialist subject area** A teaching qualification or a desire to obtain one Experience outside of education in a business sector(s) The skill and habits of someone who can role model continual learning and inquiry An interest in, and updated knowledge of the impact of technology on business Daily ways of working that include skills that enhance efficiency Evidence of managing students within university rules and regulations or operating in a similar quality led environment * Candidates with teaching and learning experience but with an undergraduate degree will be considered **Candidates wanting to enter teaching and learning at Higher Education level for the first time will be considered 3
