Stage 1: Initation WB Project Life Cycle PCN QER PAD BOARD MTR ICR IEG 1 Partner Design FC placement Baseline Follow up Analysis Dissemination IE Life Cycle

Stage 1: Initiation Country expresses interest in getting support Project team identified and concept note prepared (project concept note PCN) TTL reaches out to DIME to express interest in engagement

Stage 2: Design and approval WB Project Life Cycle PCN QER PAD BOARD MTR ICR IEG 1 2 Partner Design FC placement Baseline Follow up Analysis Dissemination IE Life Cycle

Stage 2: Design and approval Team usually begins design in global DIME workshop PPU (project preparation unit set up in country) IE discussions feed into the project design which then goes through a Quality Enhancement Review (QER) Information about IE included in the final project appraisal document (PAD) that get approval from the Board to become effective IE goes through its own concept note review to ensure country buy-in

Stage 3: Implementation Once project is effective, field coordinator is placed and baseline survey conducted Baseline survey data is used to inform project design (targeting, conditions, refining project indicators, etc.) Mid-term review (MTR) conducted approx 60% of the way into a project life. Baseline and monitoring data have potential for midcourse correction

Stage 4: Completion + Dissemination WB Project Life Cycle PCN QER PAD BOARD MTR ICR IEG Partner Design FC placement Baseline Follow up Analysis Dissemination IE Life Cycle

Stage 4: Completion + Dissemination IE results feed into project implementation completion report (ICR) which is conducted by a different TTL at completion ICR rates project by its achievement of results framework (so the IE results should be aligned with this) Submission to IEG which confirms or reassesses results and provides final rating
