Both Club Med Saharo & Tomamu, on the island of Hokkaido are popular destinations with both Japanese and foreign guests due to the lessons offered in English and ski in ski out accommodation which are rarities in Japan. The slopes offer exceptional powder skiing across several mountain chains and clear winter weather with high sunshine. All ability levels are catered for on mountains between 400 and 1,060 meters and for those who need to be put through their paces, Club Med offers an all inclusive ski school. After an exhausting day on the slopes, guests can enjoy a treatment at the spa, unwind in a searing sauna, enjoy a Canadian bath or have a traditional Japanese outdoor hot ofuro while admiring the snow covered slopes. The resort also offers nightly entertainment - live band, billiards, a piano and midnight bar. For the non-skiers, there is also a choice of leisurely day pursuits including nature walks, snow-shoeing and excursions to nearby hot springs. 3 *Expectations of being a GO! The job of a GO is a Club Med invention. It is unique in so many ways. The GO is the ambassador of the Club Med Spirit and holder of the company s 5 values friendliness, freedom, multiculturalism, pioneer & responsibility. It is a combination of working professionalism and a way of life. They have a sense of superior service quality and go above and beyond the expectations of the GMs (guests). Enthusiastic and smiling; they have a passion for life and know how to communicate it to others. Curious about others, they know how to build links and have the ability to adapt to the different personalities and cultures that they encounter. The GOs are open to the world around them and respect the diversity of all individuals. Their manners and refinement allow them to accompany the upscale move of Club Med and the evolution of its clientele. When speaking with GM s you must never discuss inappropriate aspects of your personal life. Club Med requires GO s presentation to be immaculate in both professional and convivial time to promote an upscale resort environment. This includes the highest standard of personal hygiene, clean groomed facial hair, no visible tattoos or body piercing including tongue rings, nose rings, eyebrow rings etc, a neat haircut, appropriate footwear and clothing will be required at all times. Your evening wear must be smart casual and never display potentially offensive words or images. Once you have been selected to be part of the GO team you will experience double the pleasure as your job will be divided into 2 main roles: Professional time Your set hours of work that you conduct on a daily basis in your selected GO role i.e. Ski or Snowboard Instruction > Ski lesson hours is 2 hours / morning and afternoon (Provide training about 3 times a week) Your working hours will be up to 40 hours per week and your shifts will usually change on a daily basis Attending monthly (*GO meetings) as well as department meetings. This is the time that you are expected to be professional, sincere, and flexible working alongside with your fellow GOs creating a harmonious team spirit and delivering incomparable experiences to our GMs. *Convivial time This is the time that you continue the Club Med spirit by participating in the life of the village with our friendly GMs. Convivial time can be participating or assisting in the nightly entertainment, sporting events and ambiance of the resort. Welcoming our GMs to the village assisting in their complete arrival and orientation of their stay. Dining with our GMs for lunch and dinner. Participating in team games and events with the GM s at different locations throughout the village. Participating in the nightly shows as well as scheduled rehearsals Helping other departments of the village when needed. Participating in the Crazy Signs. These are special moments where the GOs and GM s come together to share in the traditional Club Med dances. This usually happens once a day around the bar after the nightly show. All GOs are expected to be participating in village ambiance and socializing with our GMs until midnight. Each night at Club Med we have a different dress code. All the GOs are expected to comply. Common color and themes will be ; Elegant, White, Black, Blown, Red, Blue, Colorful

4 GOs Lodge outside the resort Twin share. You will have single bed, desk, chair and closet There are one shared bath for male, and one for female Shower room available Sheet and towel will be provide, and house keeping comes once a week Internet -WiFi in lounge (ADSL) Phone there is paid phone available Laundry Washing machines, Dryers and iron Enjoying your day off! Club Med GOs receive 1 day off per week. There are many things that a GO can do on their day of both in and out of the resort, apart from spending time skiing and snowboarding on the mountain of course! Here are a few ideas on how GOs spend their days off. Enjoying one of the many Club Med excursions on offer at discounted rates Enjoying the facilities the resort has to offer including the gym, heated indoor pool, sauna, Jacuzzi, heated outdoor baths, traditional Japanese baths, table tennis, cooking lessons and dance lessons for free Receive a well deserved Spa treatment at discounted rates Go snowshoeing in the gorgeous countryside through thick woodland to the frozen lake Take the free shuttle to Shintoku station to do some shopping

5 The Employer (Club Med) offer to the Employee 2017/18 season we will be looking for both Ski & Snowboard Instructors to work at either Saharo & Tomamu Resorts Level 2 or higher or the equivalent of Japan qualification below S.A.J - Level (JSBA-B and A) or above S.I.A - Level (Stage 2,3 or above) position for the candidate. We have Limited Snowboard Instructor Positions available at both resorts, please clearly state upon application if you are applying for that position. Position outlines remain the same as for ski Instructors (see below). Full GOs Ski Instructor Position Duration of position 1st December 2017 to 30th March 2018 (Although training period will start approximately 2 weeks earlier) Working Hours 40 hours per week (staff are expected to attend training & other staff orientated events as well) 6 days a week 4 annual holidays per season Includes Season Lift Pass (this will be reimbursed to staff upon contract completion) Uniform Paid Domestic Flights if required to Hokkaido (this will be reimbursed to staff upon contract completion) Also Includes (But as a deduction against salary) Accommodation + Meal 30,000 JPY // Based on 2 sharing, 3 meals a day + all non alcoholic beverages Health Insurance : about 5% of gross salary Social Security pension : about 9% of gross salary Incoming tax : 20% of gross salary Salary Paid on the 25th of the following month direct to applicant (final salary paid into personal bank account) As a guide this will be between Gross 180,000 to 320,00 & after deductions 140,000 to 260,000 dependant on qualifications An official offer will be made to each individual applicant based on level, skill & language abilities *GOs Opt Out Program For Candidates who want to focus solely on being one of the best Instructors in the Industry. You will not need to take any of the responsibilities of regular GO s See following sections *Expectations of being a GO *Convivial time You will however maintain all other benefits The candidate will need to decide to become either a Full Go or enter the Opt out program before starting the position & once this decision has been taken it can not be reversed during the duration of the current seasons contract.. We strongly urge candidates to consider the full GOs position as history has shown us that this is the most beneficial position for the candidate.
