12 Role of MGM Resorts Workforce Development Team The Regional Workforce Development team s primary role is to create sustainable pathways for MGM National Harbor, MGM Springfield (Opening 9/18) and other regional properties to recruit highly qualified candidates. This is achieved in several ways: Partnering with higher learning organizations to create relevant programs to address issues such as low-skilled workers or the need for more employees in our industry. Ex. Prince George Community College, Brightwood College 12 Creating pipelines with various organizations (Community Based, Workforce Development Partners) that work to place individuals in training programs and jobs. Ex. Goodwill of Greater Washington, Veterans Organizations, Melwood
