Senior Clinical Application Analyst TransForm is embarking on a major Health Information System (HIS) clinical transformation project that is expanding rapidly and involves the recruitment of roles for during the project and beyond. We are looking for people with Clinical systems experience, Clinical process knowledge or Cerner specific experience that who want to play a critical role in the roll out and clinical adoption of this new system and clinical workflows. As a Senior Application Analyst at TransForm, you should be a tech-savvy professional, able to lead our project deliverables by using appropriate project management methodologies for the task; all while being able to explain the technical details and requirements to a non-technical audience. Familiarity with related clinical systems including clinical orders and lab results, imaging software for radiology, clinical documentation, patient registration and health information management is an asset to this role. Ultimately, you should be able to lead the project deliverables that help provide technical, product, and business knowledge to support our customer s applications and strengthen customer relationships. POSITION SUMMARY: Part of the IT\IM Information Management function, the Senior Application Analyst is responsible for the delivery of effective software application solutions which meet the needs of the healthcare customers they support. This role leads the investigation and recommendation for new initiatives and is the primary TransForm resource responsible for the planning, procurement, implementation and support of assigned software applications. A key element of

2 the role is to act as liaison between hospital management and users, software vendors, and the other TransForm portfolios (Service, Technology, PMO) in the provision of application solutions and support. This senior role is expected to provide leadership assistance to the management team in the following areas: Subject matter expertise to assist in definition of work assignments, application configuration and data standards development, and issues investigation/escalation. Work stream leadership on major projects/or associate PM on small to medium complexity initiatives. Coaching and mentoring of supporting staff Acting as MRP (most responsible person) for assigned functional areas/assists and support Account Managers on new requests/investigations. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Leads the investigation and recommendation of regional solution proposals (including development of business cases, RFP s) for assigned areas of responsibility (customer s subject areas). Leads the delivery of application solution implementation activities including managing project resources and work activities for assigned work-streams in accordance with regional project management methodologies. Leads the ongoing investigation of new/relevant technology solutions through participation in various IT industry and Healthcare groups including establishing peer hospital/professional practice networks and strong vendor relationships. Knows the practice (workflow, data, reporting requirements) and leads continuous improvement activities to ensure effective use of deployed assets. Champions the establishment of regional standards on solution sets, data/process flows, and reporting solutions. Designs, builds (configures) and maintains core system tables and settings (directly or indirectly oversees work of application analysts and super-users ) to ensure system operating as defined and to safeguard the system against unauthorized changes. Plays a key role in the creation, validation and execution of all system Change Requests. Leads relevant design work for all integration, interfaces, report development, and data conversions. Responsible to ensure robust test plans are in place to properly validate changes and to ensure appropriate hospital management engagement. Coordinates the engagement of the technical team to procure and build required infrastructure components to support new or changed application solutions. Works with Service and other TransForm portfolios to provide support as per agreed SLA s including scheduled and unscheduled activities after hours as required. 3 Responsible for work assignments prioritization, scheduling, and issues management for assigned customer groups and/or supporting staff (informal) Shared responsibility for the upkeep and safeguarding of production systems including comprehensive testing for all system changes Responsible for delivery of assigned project roles (e.g., Work-Stream Leader) EDUCATION: University Degree or Community College diploma in Information Technology, Health Sciences, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience & \ or Certifications.
