2 RISE Project Title: Modernising Human Resource management In South Mediterranean higher Education (RISE) Objectives: - Build up capacities and skills in HRM on target South Mediterranean HEIs for stronger organizational efficiency; - Create a regional network on HRM as a forum for exchange of good practices; - Conceive and develop institutional HR strategies in South Mediterranean HEIs. 3 State of play of achievements Benchmarking study was conducted whereas data were collected through a questionnaire distributed to all partner universities and sister university in the same country. The analysis is uploaded on the project website. Analysis-report Five training workshops were conducted since the beginning of the project as follows: Rouen Training Visit /5/2016 (dedicated for WP1 in the project, which handle the in-depth analysis subdivided into Benchmarking Study and the Need Analysis) Tunisia Training Visit /8/2016 (discussed Strategic HR planning in Higher Education Institutions) Morocco Training Visit /10/2016 (discussed Recruitment in Higher Education institutions) Tallinn Scientific Visit - 3-5/4/2017 (Recruitment, promotion and retention of academic staff at HEIs) Nitra Scientific Visit /7/2017 (Compensations and Benefits) We started preparing the e-portal for training modules at module system at PSUT where each partner will have his own credentials to use these training modules, which have been prepared by PC partners. The Project website was created and it is up to date. It contains all relevant information, project description, contacts, events and lists of beneficiaries, with logo of the Erasmus and project logo, Most partners have drafted their HR strategic plans. A sample is uploaded on the project website. Templates for questionnaire and reports designed and utilized by all partners.

4 Impact A plan was put to develop the Administrative Affair Department to be a Human Resources Division. The training needs were specified and the training courses for employees were increased. Providing online job applications for Academic positions. Activating the job description committee, defining responsibilities and performance indicators. Preparing procedures guideline for Administrative Affair Department with its required forms. A plan of administrative affair department was developed to become a human resources division and determine the concerned execution party and performance indicator. A proposal for employee evaluation was provided to enhance their performance and considering the feedback by modifying the evaluation process to include different types of administrative employees. HR team visited Orange to see their Human Recourses system Ensuring that job conditions are clear in the announcements. A standardized variation application forms was prepared for academies in cooperation with King Hussein Faculty of computing Science. Re-studying the instructions and rules of administrators because it is been modified recently

5 Individual impact of closed projects The results of TEJ project which concluded in 2016 are still in use in the institution as follows: - Building and establishing a technology Transfer Office at each partner institution that plays a vital role in bringing the alliance between the enterprises and the university a real story - Higher employability of students though improved training and employment Prospects has been noticed Generation of opportunity to attract additional funds for teaching and Research from the Jordan Scientific Fund to certain business plans done by the students Increasing of financial autonomy of Universities through stimulating of Cooperative research with enterprises and generation of supplemental income has been noticed from consulting. Increased innovation and technology transfer and stronger economic development has been noticed, too. Establishment of the Universities-enterprises cooperation network and implementation of its activities to serve as a. sustainable supra-national platform for exchange of experiences and good practices with a view to fostering a regular strategic dialog among higher education and business sector. Enhanced Human Capacity concerning strategic, managerial and administrative skills in organisation of university-enterprises cooperation at Jordanian Universities through implementation of 5 targeted and In-Job training modules Infrastructural and institutional establishment of liaison offices at Jordanian Universities, Pilot implementation of the operations; of the newly created Liaison Offices: Public awareness & dissemination actions of project results throughout the project duration: Ensuring sustainability of projects results through the development of long-term strategies for institutional implementation and financing of the established structures and services.

6 Challenges Develop an innovative training programme for Human Resource corresponds to PC needs Disseminate the results to maximize the impact and sustainability of final outcomes

7 Good practices Dissemination package, including project website and publicity materials Access to e-learning courses to extend training Training Workshops: in addition to the training workshops conducted in the EU partner countries, an internal workshops are conducted in each partner institution to disseminate the results of trainings.
