2 The (WRT) is one of 12 venues within the HQ Theatres & Hospitality (HQT&H) current portfolio of regional theatres and concert halls. HQT&H currently manages 18 auditoria on behalf of local authorities, with capacities ranging from a 200 seat arts centre to a 2,400 seated/standing theatre. Last year HQT&H programmed a total of 2,354 shows which attracted attendances of over 1.5 million. HQ Theatres & Hospitality (HQT&H), the UK s second-largest theatre and venue operator, is a division of Qdos Entertainment Ltd, one of the largest entertainment Groups in Europe. The is situated in a commanding position on the Hastings' shoreline and presents a tremendously varied programme of theatre, concerts and live entertainment including an annual spectacular pantomime. WRT s café and foyers enjoy stunning views of the Hastings coastline and the newly refurbished Hastings Pier. The venue has also many ideal spaces for meetings, rehearsals, workshops, conferences, parties, celebrations and more. Employment type: Salary: Hours: Apprenticeship Training offered: Work location: Purpose of the role: Full time, fixed-term apprentice contract (one year) A minimum of 6,630 p.a. ( 3.40 p.h.) dependent on experience, ability and potential 37.5 per week over 5 days out of 7, subject to variation to meet business requirements. Working hours may include evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays. Business Apprenticeship level one or two, based on qualifications, experience and ability. You will be based at The, Hastings and may be required to travel to and work at other HQT&H venues. Approved travel expenses will be reimbursed. The post holder is responsible for providing invaluable support to the Marketing, Sales, Community and Hospitality departments of our busy venue. In doing so, you will increase the public s awareness of the theatre s programme, maximise the use of the theatre via local groups, businesses and organisations and group sales, and increase revenue through the provision of food and drink. 4 REPORTING You will report directly to the Marketing Officer and will take instruction and guidance from heads of departments, such as the Marketing and Sales Manager, Creative Learning Manager and Hospitality General Manager. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Under guidance and supervision of the Marketing Manager, implement marketing, sales and ticketing campaigns in order that the theatre can maximise attendances and raise general awareness of its programme. Research existing and potential audiences and assist in campaigns to target and attract them to the theatre. Assist in distributing information on the theatre and its events programme through various outlets including , hard copy distribution and social media. Working with the Marketing Manager and Ticket Office Manager in order to provide support to the ticket office, undertaking computerised ticket sales in person and on the phone, as instructed. Assist the theatre events. number of events at the theatre. Assist the Creative Learning Manager in the marketing and administration of the creative learning activities and events. Other Responsibilities Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with departmental and company Health & Safety procedures. Dress in accordance with Company uniform policy and wear protective clothing where issued and instructed. Attend and, if required, note take meetings as required. Undertake any relevant training and development that may be required and keep abreast of developments in his/her field of expertise. TRAINING PROVIDED You will be trained in a Business Apprenticeship with the aim of achieving a diploma qualification at level one or two (higher level roughly equivalent to 5 GCSEs). 5 PERSON SPECIFICATION In order to be considered for this post you will need to evidence and demonstrate: Excellent organisational skills, with meticulous attention to detail Administrative skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Positive approach to managing workload IT literacy with demonstrable proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Photoshop Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Ability to work well under pressure ensuring deadlines are met Ability to work both using own initiative and as a team player Interest in and enthusiasm for the theatre and entertainment sectors Understanding of the importance of marketing within business Interest and understanding of the latest developments in social media (particularly Facebook, Twitter and Instagram) GCSE Maths and English A-C grade
