3 Completing Your Employment Application Complete all requested information. Don t leave anything blank. If you don t know the details, bring the application home and return it when it s completed. Write clearly and neatly, using black or blue ink, or type in the information. Check for spelling and grammatical errors. Proofread your job application form before turning it in.

4 Completing Your Employment Application List your most recent job first when completing employment information. List your most recent education first. Include vocational schools and training programs as well as college and high school. References don t necessarily have to be professional. If you have volunteered, you can use members of the organizations that you have helped, but in all cases, ask for permission prior to using the person for a reference.

11 WORK EXPERIENCE: List employer Position title Location and dates of employment Include full-time and part-time positions Use action verbs to identify your skills List positions from the most recent to least recent. Use the proper tense

12 ORGANIZATIONS/ACTIVITIES: Positions of leadership, organizations Professional Memberships Community and volunteer activities

13 SKILLS: Microsoft Office Tools, Licenses, Certifications REFERENCES: Current and past professors and/or supervisors List of references on separate sheet Name, title/position, mailing address, phone number, address 3-4 references
