1 Position Description EXECUTIVE OFFICER 1. Position Title: Executive Officer Commencing Term 3, Role Purpose: The Executive Officer has the accountability for the finance and asset management, policies, operations and planning (including capital works programs), IT, workplace, health and safety, OOSH, grounds and maintenance, canteen, uniform shop, and facility hire. 3. Location: Styles Grove 4. Responsible To: Principal The Executive Officer plans, directs and coordinates these operations across Bishop Tyrrell Anglican College. The Executive Officer is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency and quality of departmental and organisational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies. 5. Principle Relationships: Principal, College Leadership Team 6. Key Accountabilities: Operational management of facilities, asset management, logistics and transport, IT infrastructure, security, risk management, workplace health and safety, OOSH, canteen, uniform shop and facility hire of contractors within these operational areas Financial management of operations College policies and procedures All compliance requirements 7. Classification: The person will be appointed at Level 4 of the Independent Schools NSW (Support and Operational Staff) Multi Enterprise Agreement.

Key Tasks and Expected Outcomes: The key areas that this role will cover are: Facilities Financial of operational budgets Operations Workplace health and safety management Risk & compliance management Position Responsibilities Core Activities Key Performance Indicators List the measures used to determine achievement of activities Facilities Coordinate and monitor the work of the facilities team, contractors and project managers in ensuring the facilities maintenance planning and execution is effectively delivered within the established budget and in accordance with the College building plan. Coordinate and monitor the implementation of security services across the College. Establish and implement a maintenance schedule. Monitor performance and implement improvements. Ensure quality of work. Manage quality and quantity of employee productivity. Manage maintenance of equipment and machinery. Provide technical support where necessary. Oversee IT infrastructure. Manage and maintain the College assets. Facilities program of work developed and in conjunction with College facilities management team Required presence of security services Number and quality of improvements % time equipment not operational Stakeholder feedback Register of assets updated Financial Prepare and control budgets, inventory and assets. Plan and implement effective strategies for financial governance of the budget components of the College. Budgets are achieved within the approved budget limits

3 Operations Workplace Health and Safety Provide effective liaison throughout the College and with the School Division to ensure the prompt processing of accounts receivable and accounts payable, budget preparation, management reporting and future work to enhance the synergy between the College and the Newcastle Anglican Schools Corporation. Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of operations across the College. Ensure the College conducts its affairs in a business-like manner working closely with the Newcastle Anglican Schools Corporation and serving as the first point of contact in legal, financial and administrative matters. Establish a positive, supportive relationship with students, their families and the broader College Community. Improve processes and policies in support of organisational goals. Formulate and implement departmental, and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output. Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures. Facilitate coordination and communication between support functions. Manage contracts for cleaning, transport and security services. Manage stakeholder engagement relevant to operational management. Liaise with College executive team. Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity. Oversee the OOSH, canteen and Uniform shop operations. Implement and manage operational plans. Oversee the bookings, preparation and cleaning of all facilities of the College. Develop and implement improvements to the WH&S framework in line with the College WH&S policies and procedures. 4 Risk Staff Monitor the WH&S performance across the College s operations. Instill a strong culture of WH&S compliance and focus on risk management. Manage operational risks across the College. Manage documentation and compliance requirements for all visitors to the campus including College staff, contractors and consultants, parents and any other persons requiring access to the campus. Provide advice and support to the academic team on risk management. Implement a risk management framework, policies and procedures. Liaise with the College executive management team in all aspects of risk management. Develop and oversee implementation of College policies and procedures. Ensure the College conforms to its reporting obligations to Government and the Diocese. Plan the use of human resources. Establish organizational structures. Delegate tasks and accountabilities. Establish work schedules. Supervise staff. Monitor and evaluate performance. Selection Criteria Essential: Qualification in business administration, commerce, management, industrial technology or industrial engineering. Experience in managing organisational effectiveness and operations Knowledge of business and management principles and practices Experience in the application of financial and accounting principles and practices Knowledge of human resource principles and practices

5 Experience in managing complex and diverse projects Previous experience in a leadership position involving operations management ideally in an education environment Ability to infuse the Christian ethos into programs and practices throughout the College Demonstrated commitment to the development of best practice strategies in all aspects of College operations Professional and personal integrity Being flexible and open-minded Being proactive and innovative Effective interpersonal communication skills Demonstrated capacity to operate as both a leader and a team player Current WWCC 10.
