3 Main objective of the SolidarCity project, is to improve the effectiveness of regional development policies by enhancing the role and involvement of local & regional authorities and civil society in employment rate increase through exploring the parameters which burden the active participation into the local labor market and finding ways to create more and better jobs at local level

4 How it Works The SolidarCity project partnership has brought together local authorities, universities, municipalities and national town centre management associations from Greece, Bulgaria, Finlanda, Italy, Romania and United Kingdom to investigate existing and innovative ways of creating employment across Europe

5 This involves traditional top-down trainingbased approaches as well as bottom-up entrepreneurship-based ways of making towns and locations more attractive to live, work and invest in by involving local authorities and key local stakeholders from civil society organisations across the community

6 Approach and Methodology Partners from different EU Member States worked and will continue to work together on a shared regional policy issue which is to improving the effectiveness of regional development policies by enhancing the role and involvement of local & regional authorities and civil society in employment rate increase through exploring the parameters which burden the active participation into the local labor market and finding ways to create more and better jobs

17 BANCA TEMPO Banca Tempo: is a structure where volunteers from the community offer time and knowledge to other citizens in order to burden the parameters of non inclusion. time New skills Banca Tempo Banca Tempo time knowledge

18 FUNCTION OF BANCA TEMPO How Banca Tempo services work? Support of: Local authorities NGO s Local labour office groups of individuals offering in banca tempo time and knowledge inactive or non / under qualified citizens

19 SolidarCity pilot houses In order to test the possibility of creating jobs in local and regional level by promoting the locality to inward investors, by encouraging the creation of new businesses and social enterprises, by motivating a local culture of enterprise, by identifying job vacancies in neighbouring localities, SolidarCity pilot houses will be established.

20 SolidarCity policy group A policy group consisted of people at decision making level (Mayors, members of municipal council), entrepreneurs, educators, artists, representatives of non active citizens unemployed, women, migrants, roma will be created under the title SolidarCity policy group. The SolidarCity policy group will exchange experience, knowledge and practices for their role to active inclusion, to the more and better jobs concept and to entrepreneurship spirit and culture creation.
