Precision Electrical Termination Certification

Daniels Manufacturing Corporation

Daniels Manufacturing Corporation We re the world leader in tool systems and technology for aerospace, military and communications industries Our experience spans six decades, with products that are used in many types of manufacturing and support activities, and virtually every: Ø Aircraft program Ø Defense system Ø Land and sea transport system Ø Space exploration program

Scope of Use The number of connectors and wiring devices in a single aircraft is astounding: UH-60M Blackhawk: 1,978 Connector P/Ns C130: 1,791 Connector P/Ns

Almost 100% Hand Made in Planes today are still made like they were 30+ years ago, by hand! There are around 2,000 Boeing 737 airplanes in the air at any given time Every one of those planes rolled out of Boeing s Renton Production Facility where they build the 737. Boeing builds approximately s per month, all by hand!

Skills for Life High Reliability Wiring Systems are used in many industries including: Aerospace, Transportation, Telecommunications, Space Exploration, Defense Systems and more The criticality of the electrical performance requires technicians to adhere to the highest quality of industry standards Every individual is trained and certified to this high level of competency

Importance of Highly Skilled Technicians The manufacturing of the electrical wire harnesses and proper use of tooling is one of the most critical aspects of aerospace manufacturing. Improper use can cause: Loss of data or signal Loss of power Malfunctions while in flight Rework that requires removal of cabin interior, electrical wiring, and more Costly down/repair time Loss of life Your Work Matters!!

Importance of Highly Skilled Technicians Unfortunately a shortage of aviation mechanics within the next decade threatens the expansion and maintenance of the global airline fleet. This problem is magnified by the lack of knowledge transfer and the knowledge gap that is left by retiring veterans This problem needs to be addressed through industry specific training programs that fill the gap of training and certifying the next generation of aviation technicians NC3 and DMC have partnered to develop the Precision Electrical Termination Certification to fill this need!!!

Core Competencies Students who pass the PET Certification will learn the following core competencies that will elevate their abilities above others without similar training: Connector, contact and terminal identification Crimping methodology Origins of Mil-Standard crimp tools Tool identification, assembly and operation

Core Competencies Students who pass the PET Certification will learn the following core competencies that will elevate their abilities above others without similar training: Properly operate tooling and finish a crimp termination to specification Properly insert and remove terminated contacts into/from connector Verify tools are within gauging tolerances Properly maintain and care for tooling

Crimping is the cornerstone of electrical termination in high reliability applications. Daniels Manufacturing Corporation, Snap-on and NC3 have combined their industrial experience and expertise to develop a world class certification that includes hands-on training on tools vital to a broad spectrum of critical industries. DMC is proud to combine with these industry leaders to over this certification and help train the next generation of skilled high reliability wiring technicians. THANK YOU!
