1 JOB DESCRIPTION Jb Title CONTEXT OF THE JOB The purpse f this jb is t prvide financial leadership and supprt t the New Zealand business and t deliver financial strategies that ptimise cmmercial utcmes that align with s strategic pririties. The jb is lcated at Prirua, NZ. The jb reprts t the Finance Directr, Villages and Aged Care, Australia & NZ (BVAC). This jb descriptin was created in July This jb is a full time psitin. This jb has 3-5 direct reprts. KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Drive Operatinal and Financial Perfrmance: Partner the Chief Operating Officer, Directr f Independent Living, Head f Operatins and Operatins Managers t drive key cmmercial decisins that ptimise financial perfrmance Be a leading and valued cntributr at key leadership cmmittees (Care Hmes and Village Operatins meetings) Lead a team f 3-5 Cmmercial Analysts t deliver relevant and timely cmmercially based financial reprts, analysis, benchmarking and cmmentary Maximise Revenue in the cntext f ccupancy, prevailing market rate cnditins and service quality Drive efficiencies within the facility cst base whilst balancing the maintenance f clinical care standards with psitive financial utcmes Optimise clinical staffing within the facilities relative t ccupancy and resident dependency Be the financial lead n BVAC NZ s pricing strategy with apprpriate knwledge f prevailing market cnditins Advise the BVAC NZ Peple team with respect t cllective settlement review, negtiatin and implementatin frm a cmmercial and financial perspective Deliver the mnthly reprting pack in a timely manner and cntinue t refine the pack t aid cmmercial decisin making Deliver strategic insights n business perfrmance, incrprating macr-ecnmic and market based trends Drive innvative and custmer centric business intelligence t all levels f the rganisatin Wrk with Financial Reprting team and Finance Operatins t prvide a seamless Finance prcess and business partnering mdel t internal custmers. 2. Lead the Financial Planning Prcess: Define cmmercial and financial bjectives in cllabratin with the Finance Directr, all Functinal Directrs, Head f Strategy, Chief Operating Officer, Head f Operatins and Operatins Managers. Deliver the mnthly Best Estimate Frecast (BEF) fr cmmunicatin t the MU and BVAC ELT

2 Deliver all requirements f the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) including capital, ensuring a detailed understanding f key perfrmance drivers Develp a rlling frecast including capital (in cnjunctin with Head f Develpment Finance) Partner the ELT t ensure that the AOP and quarterly frecasts are aligned t the wider crprate strategy and s strategic pririties 3. Practively Supprt Business Develpment Initiatives: Lead and accelerate the cmmercial perfrmance f acquisitins and new develpments thrugh partnership with Operatins and managing the analysis f integrated financial results Understand the cmpetitive psitin f each facility and prperty develpment ptins in accrdance with BVAC s strategy and the ecnmic envirnment Develp, review and advise n the business case evaluatins fr develpment strategies in crdinatin with the Head f Develpment Finance Partner Head f Develpment Finance in prviding Due Diligence fr any prspective acquisitins Review new business cmmercial and financial evaluatins and perfrm risk assessments and assciated initiatives 4. Effectively Cmmunicate Impacts f Gvernment and Macr Changes: Practively understand the regulatry and financial envirnment that the aged care industry perates in and make recmmendatins as t future business directin based n insights Be the Finance Lead in understanding, cmmunicating and Frecasting the impact f any significant legislative changes such as Aged Care reviews KEY COMPETENCIES Strng cmmercial acumen Strng analytical skills Effective verbal and written cmmunicatin skills Team leadership experience Aged Care Experience is desirable EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Minimum 10 years Accunting experience CA, CPA r CIMA qualificatin Advanced Excel skills MBA desired OTHER RELEVANT INFORMATION: Key Internal Relatinships: BVAC Executive Leadership Team Chief Operating Officer, BVAC NZ Directr f Independent Living Head f Operatins, NZ
