Manpower Stands Against: Labor practices that exploit individuals, particularly those who are vulnerable. Our focus is on providing jobs and job training for the following groups, working in partnership with governments and NGOs, as appropriate: Long-term unemployed/under-employed People with disabilities Disenfranchised (minorities/immigrants) Victims of disaster (tsunami, hurricanes) Victims of exploitation (trafficking, etc.) Refugees Youth Our focus is on increasing awareness of, and opposition to, these practices, until such time as we can provide a bridge to employment for these individuals: Human trafficking (sex trade, slave labor) Child Labor Illegally low wages to vulnerable workers Exploitation of immigrants Unsafe working conditions

Emphasize Core Work-Readiness Skills -- self-knowledge and motivation; understanding the world of work; strategies for success in the workplace; understanding career ladders and paths; resources for lifelong learning; labor market research; networking and communication skills. Respect Individual Needs understand personal barriers and challenges; skills and vocational aptitude assessments; self-directed and interactive career exploration; personalized career planning; assessments and support for young entrepreneurs. Support Diverse Outcomes many paths, many goals: from acquisition of basic work credentials to first career steps to full empowerment in a self-directed career. Requires high tech and high touch - counseling, training, and social support services menu customized for each candidate.

7 Representative Manpower Partnerships for Youth Junior Achievement, Worldwide: in-school speakers, program support, to educate students about work readiness, career paths, and lifelong learning. Summer Youth Programs, North America: work experience and work readiness programs help overcome long-term barriers to employment. Serbian Ministry of Youth and Sport: share knowledge and best practices for Youth Centers organization, management, service delivery, and employer linkages. Education for Employment Foundation: contribute assessments, training, candidate tracking and administrative infrastructure for diverse range of training-foremployment projects. Silatech Morocco ICT Project: in cooperation with a regional organization and national stakeholders, create efficient large-scale recruitment, assessment, training and counseling, and employer connections for growing offshoring industry.
