2 WHAT IS TRAINING FIRM? a) Business of Training Firms - interdisciplinary teaching subject through which students-participants through their training firms, simulating the circulation of goods and services and money, acquire knowledge of the principles unfolding of actual business processes in order to gain the necessary competence for independent management of small and medium sized companies. b) Training firm the organizational form, educational and business system which simulates the actual running of the business processes, the circulation of goods and services- money and through which students acquire competences necessary for self-management of small and medium sized companies (SMEs).

3 HISTORY OF TRAINING FIRMS The first time mentioned in the EU in the 17th century Today: each country has headquarters for training firms In Croatia from 2002 when "Katarina Zrinski" introduced BTF (Business of Taining Firms) as one of the courses/subjects into the curriculum Created a pilot - Programme for public schools in Croatia
