1 Volunteer Position Title Volunteer Coordinator Team / Program Sutherland Shire Social Support Services (5S s) Supervised by Program Coordinator Indicative daily/weekly commitment These programs are run on a different day during the week consisting of Monday, Thursday & Friday Cronulla Engadine Loftus Gymea Sylvania Location Screening / Training requirements Subject to change on a needs basis. You are responsible for arranging transport to and from this address and any future address. In accordance with various government requirements, 3Bridges Community policy requires screening for most volunteer roles. This will include Police Criminal History Check and a Working with Children Check in certain roles. A structured induction on our Values, organisational policies and procedures, volunteer roles and responsibilities as well as WHS training is mandatory for every role. Description of the volunteer role The volunteer role provides quality service to:. Key responsibilities Manual handling of clients Food shopping and handling Kitchen duties Client interaction Coordinating activities and outings for the group in consultation with Program

Collection of client fees Direct and assist other volunteers Risk management Duty of care for both clients and volunteers Attributes, Skills and Experience Essential Desirable Attributes Patient, honest, kind, approachable, respectful, understanding, sensitivity, trustworthy, reliable, flexible, accepting, punctual, collaborative. Ability to maintain boundaries in dealing with clients. Knowledge of service or willingness to learn. Enjoy meeting and helping a wide range of people. Skills Ability to adapt quickly to meet the clients needs. Ability to work with clients from CALD backgrounds. Experience Ability to follow the instructions of the Program Coordinator. Ability to work independently when required. Client Fees/Money management. Previous experience with aged people and people with disabilities.

I understand this is a volunteer role and I will not be paid for volunteering.
