10 10 8 Brendon and Dawn are a young married couple who live in a one-bedroom flat in a city centre. Brendon and Dawn both work full-time. Their typical monthly spend includes: Rent for the flat Council Tax Food Restaurant meals Alcohol Internet connectivity Utility bills Car fuel and insurance Clothes Brendon and Dawn have no debts or savings. They want to start saving for a deposit to buy a house. Suggest changes that Brendon and Dawn could make to their monthly essential and non-essential spending to help them to save money. 16 16 13 Dev is changing jobs. His current employer fills in a four-part form. The form has Dev s name on it and the date he is leaving his job. Part 1 of the form goes to HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC). Dev gives two parts of the form to his new employer. 17 17 Dev receives a letter from the Inland Revenue. It tells him that his tax code is changing from 944L in this tax year to 1105L for the next tax year.
