Place2Be provides children s mental health services in 282 primary and secondary schools, and last year provided in-depth training in a further 31 schools, reaching a total school population of over 135,000 pupils Our teams provide a range of services in our partner schools to build resilience early in life through counselling, creative work and play and support a child s ability to engage in school life. Our work, focused on early intervention, is part of the comprehensive CAMHS system. Through our professional development programme, we are training c1200 Counsellors on Placement each year who build their mental health and counselling skills and experience through practice in our partner schools. We also provide a range of professional development programmes on mental health and wellbeing for school leaders, teachers and other professionals who work with children and young people, so we can help to build mentally healthy schools and communities where all children can thrive and flourish. We continue to pilot, trial and explore new ways in which we can develop our practice as well as share learning, expertise and findings from the robust evidence and evaluation we gather. Overall Purpose: To ensure delivery of a high quality and best-in-class service in Place2Be partner schools; to establish inspiring and close working relationships with partner head teachers and governing bodies. 2 Key Responsibilities: 1. nsure high quality clinical practice and delivery of a full and effective service in Place2Be partner schools under your responsibility All School Project Managers delivering to the Place2Be model and in line with policies and procedures ffective working relationships and referral pathways with specialist services in order to provide appropriate support for children and families ffective management of all safeguarding issues and concerns in line with Place2Be s policy 2. Provide effective supervision for SPMs and Parent Counsellors Undertake fortnightly clinical and management supervision with your team members Provide honest and constructive feedback and put in place strategies to address performance improvement where necessary 3. Use clinical and management data to inform and improve service delivery in your schools Analyse and use school service data to inform and improve Place2Be performance in your schools Monitor quality, timeliness and use of data on the school services system nsure effective reporting to communicate impact and value to your headteachers and governing bodies 4. nduction, training and development of your team Oversee placement, support and development of Counsellors on Placement across your schools Provide detailed school induction for new staff members and Counsellors on Placement Develop and coach team to ensure continuous professional development 5. stablish positive, active and effective relationships with headteachers and governing bodies to maximise retention of partner schools stablish and maintain effective two-way communication and relationships with headteachers, governing bodies and key school stakeholders Produce reports to ensure key stakeholders and school commissioners are informed and up to date on Place2Be s activities, outcomes, impact and value for money in line with school priorities dentify any issues or risks to school retention and work with your line manager and the wider Place2Be team as appropriate to mitigate any risk Cluster Manager Page 2 of 6
