5 INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate professional to join our team and drive our Girls Education Programs (which you can find at You re a highly organized person with a background in project management and international development practices. You have strong skills in working with in-country partners to refine their program strategies, creating and monitoring budgets closely and evaluating project outputs and outcomes. You have a strong sense of initiative in seeking practical solutions and you can build relationships with people from all walks of life to get the job done. You ll be a key part of a leadership team that s working to make a difference for girls and women in Sierra Leone, West Africa. Your responsibility will be to develop a strategic plan for One Girl Australia s (OGAs) program development, manage OGAs existing projects as well as identify new project partners. You ll work to improve our existing monitoring and evaluation frameworks, and provide practical advice on budgets and the monitoring of projects. LOCATION This is a Melbourne based position, and you will be required to work from our Collingwood office 3-4 days a week. 5 1 in 10 school girls in Africa miss classes or drop out completely due to their periods.

6 RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the current planned activities being funded by OGA: coordinate design of activities (sub-projects); monitor all program activities/ review financial and narrative reports; monitor budget; evaluate programs as per evaluation plan; complete reports for OGA donors/partners & liaise with OGA management on program progress. Strategic program development and implementation advise OGA Board and management on program strategy : conduct feasibility/needs assessments for new programs; develop new program designs. Assist in the identification of new partners and conduct due diligence of partners/program staff Manage contracts/relationships with OGSL staff and other partner organizations, encouraging transparency and mutual understanding of quality standards Delegation of tasks to and management of the Program Interns and Coordinators 6 A child whose mother can read is 50% more likely to live past the age of 5.

7 QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Professionalism You ve got fantastic organisational skills, a high level of professionalism and excellent management skills. Project Management/International Development Experience You will have had at least 5+ years extensive experience in project management in an international development context. A degree in Gender Studies/International Development is required. You will have practical knowledge and experience of gender integration in development projects and you will have previous in-country experience. Previous experience regarding DGR, working in Africa or on educational projects will be highly regarded. Team Work Experience managing a team or working as a part of a team to achieve shared goals. 7 A child whose mother can read is 50% more likely to live past the age of 5.

9 TIME COMMITMENT & CONTRACT TERMS This position is 4 days per week from One Girl HQ in Collingwood. Ideally you ll begin immediately.
