Excellence Impact Implementation A high quality and credible research/innovation project with a clear explanation of the knowledge sharing and proposed interactions between the participating organisations Demonstrated potential for enhancing the future career prospects of the staff members and development of new and lasting research collaborations between participating organisations; Appropriate plans for dissemination and communication of the outcomes of the action A coherent and effective work plan; The demonstrated appropriateness of management structure/procedures; The commitment of participating organisations to provide an appropriate institutional environment and required competencies An overall threshold of 70% will be applied to the total weighted score Copyright 2018 Innovative Technology and Science Ltd. 4 RISE: Operational Capacity The applicant-s basic operational resources and capacity to implement the action (number of R&I staff compared to secondments planned, adequate premises to implement the tasks mentioned in the proposal, etc.) Based on the information provided by each participant in the proposal template (Part B2, Section 6) The operational capacity of the Beneficiaries is assessed at the evaluation stage but also verified during the grant preparation phase (GaP) for successful proposals. 13 3.1 Enhancing the potential and future career prospects of the staff members Describe how the action contributes to realising the potential of individuals and provides new skills, enhances their knowledge and career perspectives The impact of the research and training on Staff involved in the action (start by presenting the need for new skills...) Provide a table by grouping the staff to be seconded to present what they will learn...and how this experience will enhance their future career perspectives 13

14 3.2 Developing new and lasting research collaborations, achieving transfer of knowledge between participating organisations and contribution to improving research and innovation potential at the European and global levels Describe the development and sustainability of new and lasting research collaborations resulting from the intersectoral and/or international secondments and the networking activities implemented. Describe the contribution of the action to the improvement of the research and innovation potential within Europe and/or worldwide The impact in the partnership, and other networks, in the short and long term of the RISE action The secondment in Europe, and beyond, should maximise the impact of the staff reserach and innovation activities on society 14

18 Charter and Code Communication/Public engagement Researchers should ensure that their research activities are made known to society at large in such a way that they can be understood by non-specialists, thereby improving the public's understanding of science. Direct engagement with the public will help researchers to better understand public interest in priorities for science and technology and also the public's concerns. Dissemination, exploitation of results All researchers should ensure, in compliance with their contractual arrangements, that the results of their research are disseminated and exploited, e.g. communicated, transferred into other research settings or, if appropriate, commercialised. Senior researchers, in particular, are expected to take a lead in ensuring that research is fruitful and that results are either exploited commercially or made accessible to the public (or both) whenever the opportunity arises. 18

Letters of Commitment of TC Partner organisations Insert scanned copies of duly signed letters of commitment from TC Partner organisations The letter of commitment must explicitly refer to the proposal (call and acronym) They must motivate/explain the engagement to implement the secondments planned in the proposal. Letters must be signed by the legal representative of the concerned institution. Template provided in Annex 6 of the Guide for Applicants 25

Use standard and concise English Make the text clear, well structured, and fluent Plan an index, use short paragraphs, point out key passages, schematise the concepts Insert only information relevant to the project Answer to ALL the questions indicated in the application form 26
