2 The opportunity This is an opportunity for an experienced finance professional to make a real difference within a fast growing and effective humanitarian aid organisation. The post offers the rare opportunity to combine a rewarding role in a global organisation with the quality of life that comes from living and working in beautiful Cornwall. About ShelterBox ShelterBox is an international disaster relief charity that delivers emergency shelter and vital aid to people affected by disaster worldwide. ShelterBox is firmly established at the forefront of disaster relief. We want to see a world where no family is left Our vision is a world in which all people displaced by disasters and humanitarian crises are rapidly provided with emergency shelter and vital aid, which will help rebuild their communities and lives. without shelter when disaster strikes. The global need for emergency shelter is huge. Hurricanes, earthquakes and other natural disasters displace more than 20 million people from their homes every year and the number displaced by conflict is even greater. We aim to provide shelter for one million people per year by 2025, and we are in the second year of a strategic plan which is transforming ShelterBox and which will see it grow significantly over the next decade. Historically, ShelterBox s financial resources have been influenced by the
