All in accordance with the Organisational Procedures and Statutory Health and Safety Requirements demonstrate all these actions in their own work environment on the machinery that they are required to operate. 2 Compliance with company regulations. 2.1 A clear understanding of all accident and emergency procedures 2.2 A clear understanding of the hazards within the workplace This will vary from factory to factory. The procedures should be covered during induction and training. For example the employee should be able to explain what alarms sound, if there are any drills, and where the escape routes and muster points are. explain direct/visible hazards such as machinery, vehicle movements, hot working, inadequate lighting etc, and indirect/unseen hazards such as airborne dust,

4 out in a safe manner and can they state examples of how what they do affects others in the workplace PART 2 : KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING Learning outcomes 1 Company Regulations Assessment Method Through Questioning/ Discussion should have/know:- 1.1 A clear understanding of the relevant safe working practices and procedures required to undertake all duties. 1.2 Knowledge of where to go for help (i.e. Safety Representatives, members of site safety committee, Line Manager etc) when support is required and how to find relevant health and safety information for work related action (all relevant health and safety notice boards and warning signs).
