RAISE UP AN ENERGETIC RECRUITMENT BRAND Burger King has enjoyed significant growth over the past four years, as a result, it needed to expand its workforce to meet the increased demand. Our challenge was to brand and present the new Burger King to ambitious, career-driven graduates, encouraging them to join in key roles, from in-restaurant positions to corporate careers all over the world. We worked with Burger King to attract graduates by developing and implementing its graduate recruitment campaign. We revamped Burger King s EVP to align with its culture and redefined its employer brand for its campus, restaurant, and professional roles to encompass the meritocratic, fast-paced culture. As a result, graduate applications are up by a massive 50% and Burger King is now leveraging our partnership to create a mobileoptimized career website with ATS integration, an image library, a video series and toolkit.

SIZE UP NEW HIRES WITH COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENTS When your company is experiencing rapid growth and there s a skills shortage in your sector, it becomes even more important to recruit the right people. Skanska, one of the world s largest construction contractor groups, decided to use our assessments across its UK business to meet this challenge. To help, we created a new assessment option for experienced hires, combining our Elements ability tests and our Dimensions personality questionnaire. We worked closely with the HR team to tailor our assessments to reflect the core competencies and traits in their leadership profile. We then created a single report and interview guide which clearly showed the results of the assessments, containing specific questions hiring managers could ask to evaluate each candidate. Additionally, we provided conversion training and set up an online assessment platform. Skanska UK now plans to use the assessment data to further improve its onboarding process for new hires.

RECRUIT UP THE BEST TALENT WORLDWIDE MULTINATIONAL IT FIRM This Fortune 500 IT company was looking to expand its Enterprise Storage, Servers and Networking (ESSN) team with 120 experienced hires across twelve countries. They chose us as their partner in this process because they knew we would be able to source and hire the very best candidates in the market, across a wide geographical area in a short period of time. Not only did we complete 50 percent of the hiring within four months, but we also managed to source an additional 1,500 candidates for the company s talent pool while reducing cost per hire by 35 percent. CONSUMER GOODS BUSINESS Following the acquisition of licensing rights, our client, who already had market-leading products in the US, was planning to build from a 177-person organization in EMEA. This process involved hiring from entry to executive level in 17 countries across three continents. We created a global project team of experienced life sciences recruiters, who between them offered a blend of recruitment services, including search for senior roles and selection-based sourcing methodology for lower level ones. As a result, the company achieved all its objectives on time and within budget. WORLD-LEADING UTILITY COMPANY Our client needed to create a seed population of skilled design engineers to work on their new UK nuclear facilities, which are launching in To achieve this aim, we helped them build a graduate talent acquisition program that would, each year, secure 20 graduate and recent graduate hires from top UK engineering schools. This involved carrying out market research on all the company s key competitors, designing an employer value proposition and attraction strategy, and then screening and assessing the 2,000+ applicants received through each year s campaign. Hiring targets for all five years have been met or exceeded, as have the stringent cost, time and quality parameters the company sets.

COME UP WITH AN ACTIONABLE PLAN When Avanir Pharmaceuticals, a growing biopharmaceutical company, grew from 20 employees to over 200 in just a two-year period, it decided to get a better understanding of its corporate culture. During the hiring process, Avanir promised to allow employees to help contribute to the development of its new culture. To deliver on that promise, Avanir implemented a number of measures, one of which was our Employee Effectiveness Survey to compile data and feedback on the current culture. The results of the survey were concise, easy to understand and Avanir was able to breakdown the results to get a deep understanding of its culture and the subcultures within the organization. Avanir has used the results to identify what was working in the organization and where emphasis needed to be placed. The ROI we experienced exceeded the investment we made in the tool we regularly refer back to the survey when implementing new initiatives, whatever the topic may be. 7 THINK UP A COMPETITIVE REWARD STRATEGY When Heineken took over Scottish and Newcastle Breweries, some of its employees enjoyment of the brand was lost and people were feeling under-valued. This happened just when the company needed them to be motivated and engaged. Heineken asked for our help to align reward with the brand. We used our Total Reward Framework to diagnose what was happening in reward, and worked with HR and the board to develop a reward philosophy that had tight links to the brand, HR and business strategy. The business now has a better handle on organization design, and is using better market evidence to decide base salary, benefits and variable pay. Finally, it s developed its own employee portal, My Heineken, for its flexible reward choices, as well as a new recognition scheme that reflects corporate values. Three years later, our partnership with Heineken continues: We re helping to roll out the strategy integrating total reward, as well as grading based on job families. We re also improving the way the business talks about what it offers its people. All of which will help Heineken attract and engage the talent it needs to succeed.

SOAR UP WHILE LOWERING COSTS Hit by a national financial crisis, high costs and political troubles in its home country, this major international airline went into the red for the first time in decades. Facing a multi-million dollar loss, the carrier put a plan in place to bring its financial performance back on course. The company hired us to help transform the way it manages its people, focusing on productivity and cost control. We ran workshops with major business unit executives and its board members to come up with a solution. Together, we came up with a modern staffing strategy that matched their workforce more closely with demand. To make this possible in the most cost-effective way, we helped each business unit fit its manpower to the tasks it needs to deliver. With our strategy in place, we estimate that over 20 years, this program could reduce people costs by an average of 17 per cent each year, with costs down by 47 per cent after 20 years saving the airline a projected $1.4 billion USD in staff costs.
