2 Job description Job title: Test Lead Grade: 4 ivision: Reporting to: Main contacts: ICT Quality Assurance manager Internal: Quality Assurance Manager, Chief Technology Officer, QA Team colleagues, Project Managers, and all other AAT ivisions xternal: Testing partners Centre4 Testing, Key ICT suppliers and external auditors Major objectives The Test Lead will work with the QA Manager to plan, design and govern testing according to the QA best practice framework. The Test Lead will create test schedules, plans, identify issues through test execution, coordinate test activities across projects, track defect resolution, carry out defect analysis and produce test status reports to key stakeholders. The Test Lead will be competent in test methodologies, test automation tools (Test Complete, Selenium, Postman) and qualified to ISTQB Foundation level. Responsibilities Quality Assurance execution and delivery nsure testing nsure testing is planned, designed and governed according to the QA best practice framework Continuously challenge the QA best practice framework ensuring a workable governance is achieved and in use eliver quality assurance for all system changes regardless of project classification and provide a measure of quality nsure the QA Policy is adhered to throughout the Change Lifecycle Writing Test Strategy and Test plan when required Analyse requirements and technical solutions identifying the type of testing required to complete thorough quality assurance Work with the QA Manager to define and plan test activities for all system changes nsure peer reviews are undertaken for each test script by the key stakeholders

3 Contribute to all other project work streams when required, ensuring quality is always considered Review all relevant documentation to ensure QA is applied, by carrying out static testing techniques Provides Test Status Reports to Project Managers on a regular basis or on demand Contribute to the development of test design techniques amongst the QA team API Testing / Web Services Testing / SOA Testing Good in understanding scope, functional behaviour of the APIs and usage scenarios. SOAP & RSTful web services Knowledge of API test automation framework, process, strategy, approach Capable to automate the APIs to using a datasource Knowledge of Postman (Open Source) tool Java / Javascript coding experience Well versed with Scrum / Agile methodology Internal relations Work with development teams, technical leads, suppliers and other project members to ensure a quality product is delivered Support and provide guidance to test resources during testing activities and act as the point of contact for business testers Train business test resource in defect management on the preferred tool Organise test resource on a daily basis according to agreed test plans and get involved in test execution Work with the QA Manager and other business teams to understand and link into their current test process and integrating test scripts where necessary evelop and maintain excellent working relationships with QA Team colleagues, specialist contractors, and colleagues from AAT within the QA team and all other teams Work with business areas during business requirements capture and ensure requirements are quantified and are testable Test Automation Contribute to the Test Automation roadmap and build API test framework using Postman open source tool xternal supplier relations evelop and maintain good working relationships with our external ICT/web service suppliers as required
