If you meet the minimum qualifications of the job, you will be asked to undergo testing and/or interviews among other screening procedures. If selected, you will be instructed to proceed to an accredited medical clinic for basic medical examination and to any T ESDA-accredited testing centers, if necessary, to ensure that you are fit to work. STEP 3 : When you pass the medical exam and trade testing, you will be asked to sign an employment contract. REMEMBER, before signing a contract, read and study first all the provisions. Do not sign the contract, nor pay any fee unless you have fully understood and agreed to the indicated terms and conditions. Always demand for a receipt once a payment is made. You should undergo a compulsory Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) before leaving the country. You should proceed at the POEA-Labor Assistance Center and have required documents validated before attending to other airport procedures.

WHAT DOCUMENTS NEED APPLY OVERSEA JOB T he following are the usual documentary requirements that an aspiring overseas worker must secure: 1. Resume with detailed job description 2. Valid Passport. Make sure that your passport is valid for at least six months prior to travel date. 3. School Credentials. Documents such as High School or College Diploma; Post Graduate Diploma if applicable; T ranscript of Records. 4. Valid Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) ID (if necessary) 5. Employment Certificates 6. T raining/seminar Certificates 7. Valid T ESDA Certificate (if applicable) 8. Valid NBI Clearance (for travel abroad)

WHAT TO BRING MONEY : If you do not already have an online bank account, I recommend arranging this at your earliest convenience, as online banking is a good way to monitor your money while abroad. Most international travelers use their AT M/Debit or credit cards to obtain cash in the local currency. You will need to notify your current bank and credit card company about your plans to study abroad - otherwise you may be stranded abroad with an un-useable card! If you have any concerns about whether or not your cards are eligible to use overseas, contact your bank. For those first few days, I recommend carrying between the equivalence of $100-$200 in the currency of your host country. T hose days may be busy, but finding an AT M or bank should be relatively easy. If you are unable to obtain the currency at home, the airport is a great option for exchange upon arrival. However, conversion rates in airports tend to be slightly higher than other exchange places! T raveler's checks are still the safest way to carry your money abroad and are accepted in most places. T hey are a 'protected' form of cash which you can easily obtain from your local bank. Once you arrive seek out a local bank that accepts international AT M cards so that you can continue withdrawing money from your home account. Keep your money and documents safe by carrying them in a money belt around your waist or inside your shirt.

WHAT TO BRING BACKPACK.. LUGGAGE : T wo words: pack light! Be sure to double check with your airline to learn their luggage allowances, so as to not be surprised if you have to incur extra fees. Consider buying a sturdy traveler's backpack which are more comfortable and convenient to carry than a suitcase. T hey are also handy for the many weekend trips you are likely to make! Ask your study abroad program for a suggested packing list, and keep in mind that many of the items you may want to bring will be available overseas (i.e. save space and weight by buying shampoo upon arrival!) Note the weather in the country you are studying in, as packing your winter coat for January south of the equator might just be silly. If you wear glasses or contact lenses, be sure bring extra pairs with you! If you are bringing your own electrical appliances, plug adapters may come in handy. Don't forget to bring photos, recipes, and other mementos from home to help during those homesick moments. Consider bringing a journal or notebook to reflect and write about your study abroad experience. Small souvenirs from your life back home also make great gifts for new friends.

WORK AT AUSTRALIA WORK AT AUSTRALIA.. Fruit Picking Jobs : Fruit picking is strenuous and physically challenging. It involves climbing up and down ladders, carrying picking bags that can weigh up to 15 kg and moving ladders around that weigh approximately 15 kg. It isn't suitable for all people, but anyone who is motivated and in good physical condition can pick fruit. New pickers are trained in how to pick fruit without causing damage. Fruit is picked according to colour and size specifications set by management. T he most successful fruit pickers are the consistent ones who have the patience to stick it out for the first few days and stay on for more than 2 weeks and develop their fitness and speed over time.

WORK AT AUSTRALIA Backpackers who have worked here in the past have made the following comments about fruit picking : Picking was bloody hard work to start with. Gets easier and certainly keeps you fit! Worked with some great people and saw far too many pears to last a lifetime! We have worked hard enough in a month to save enough money to fund our trip around OZ. Ele and Lee, U.K. It was a wonderful experience being at Plunkett Orchards. Nice people and very comfortable accommodation. Picking was hard at the beginning but I later enjoyed it and had fun. I ll be back again next time. Patricia, Botswana. Don t expect to be picking like the old hands on your first day.. that was probably what helped us get through the first week where some failed. Have thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Lynette, U.K. T hanks Plunkett Orchards for a great experience. Good times if you stick it out. T im, Canada.

ADVANTAGE AND DISADVANTAGE WORK OVERSEAS Advantages.. Invaluable work experience and the knowledge about the new culture where you live are two of the many advantages you will get from working abroad. With the professionalism from the workplace, you can enrich your expertise. For example, Asian software developers who work in Australia have the opportunities to improve their English level and their software related knowledge as well. Next, the new culture that you have to adapt yourself into will help you have a new picture of what is happening outside your country. Other advantages are living and working somewhere else. Experiencing a different culture. Learning a different language. Friends from a different place. New experiences. Disadvantages.. Negative impacts also exist along with the positive points mentioned. Employees who work abroad tend not to go back to their home countries, thereby leading to the increase of brain drain in those countries. Without skilled workers, the countries which are normally developing countries will not be able to develop at the same pace as they could have. Moreover, if this trend happens so quickly, it would result in the explosion of immigration in immigrant countries. Other disadvantage are starting from stratch. Not being near your family and friends and being away from your home. Being lonely.
