2 JOB PURPOSE Be respnsible fr raising funds fr Oxfam s prgramming and advcacy wrk by achieving agreed incme targets frm Oxfam s current and new supprters thrugh majr gifts, key supprters, bequests and trusts and fundatins. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Majr Dnr strategy and executin Tgether with the ther Key Relatinship Executive be respnsible fr planning and executing the majr dnr strategy fr existing and new supprters wh generally have the capacity t give ver $5,000 annually, by way f meeting agreed majr gift campaign gals and incme targets. Develp individual majr dnr gals based n the dnr's histry f giving and the rganisatin's knwledge f that dnr's ptential. Develp and implement annual individual majr dnr plans t retain and upgrade supprt including majr dnr prducts and materials. Wrk with Partnerships and the Cmmunicatins department t secure apprpriate prject infrmatin, including budgets, t create ffers, prpsals and asks. Manage the majr dnr incme and expenditure budget and prvide mnthly re-frecasts. Wrk with the Senir Leadership Team and the Bard t meet with dnrs and slicit gifts. Engage with key supprters, influencing their decisins t jin regular r pledge giving prgrammes and negtiate their level f cmmitment. This includes: Apprpriately packaging prgramme funding needs in a meaningful way t interest them; Making utbund calls t prspective key supprters t request permissin t send prduct prpsals, and encuraging them t cmmit t a regular r pledge-giving prgramme r make ne-ff gifts; Meeting with and negtiating a level f nging financial supprt; Sending regular and engaging persnalised cmmunicatins by mail, and phne; Cmpleting fllw up cmmunicatins fr due and missed dnatins and supplying prgress reprts in a timely manner. Supprt and input int the develpment f strategies t engage with current key supprters which maintain, extend and/r increase their level f financial supprt. Prspect, engage and slicit supprt frm ptential high net wrth individuals. This includes: Fllwing up leads fr existing supprters frm ther netwrks/cntacts, Crss-marketing t ther Oxfam prducts (e.g. relevant Oxfam Trailwalker event participants), Using publicly available infrmatin t build prspect understanding, Liaising with the Database Executive abut criteria fr prspect selectin, reviewing and applying these as applicable, Using publicly available infrmatin t build prspect understanding. 3 Develp and deliver supprter events fr majr givers (and bequestrs) with supprt frm the Fundraising Manager and the ther Key Relatinships Executive. Bequests and Estate management Supprt the Fundraising Manager in develping and executing the Bequest Strategy. This includes meeting agreed bequest gals and incme targets. Prmte bequest giving t supprters thrugh a range f cmmunicatin channels, including public presentatins. Develp and maintain nging cmmunicatins with bequest enquirers and cnfirmed bequestrs, with the aim f retaining and deepening their cmmitment t Oxfam. Manage Executr and slicitr relatinships f ntified bequests including estate paperwrk. Prspect, engage and slicit bequest supprt frm supprters wh are mst likely t have an interest in bequest giving. This includes: Fllwing up leads generated by ther teams; Champining the inclusin f bequest messaging in Oxfam cmmunicatins; Liaising with the CRM Operatins Executive abut criteria fr prspect selectin, reviewing and applying these as applicable; Actively seeking pprtunities t speak abut Oxfam bequest giving t grups. Trusts and Fundatins In the absence f the ther Key Relatinship Executive, manage relatinships with Trusts and Fundatins excluding Event team held relatinships. General Pass crprate partnerships leads t the Business Relatinships Executive fr further develpment. Be respnsive t questins and requests frm supprters and update supprter recrds as necessary. Keep abreast f develpments and infrmed f Oxfam s prgramming wrk. This includes: Practively and regularly engaging with relevant members f the Partnerships and Advcacy & Campaigns teams; Reading relevant dcuments, reprts and ther prgramme updates; Attending meetings and ther frums where Oxfam prgramming wrk r pririties are discussed. Undertake any ther duties that may be delegated by the Fundraising Manager that are in keeping with the scpe f the rle. 5 TIME OFF IN LIEU (TOIL) The rle may require sme evening and weekend wrk fr which nrmal ffice start and end times will be adjusted accrdingly, r apprpriate time ff in lieu will be awarded in accrdance with the rganisatin s Time ff in Lieu plicy. TRAVEL Yu may be required t travel frm time t time within New Zealand and verseas t fulfil the requirements f the rle. Sme areas where Oxfam New Zealand wrks are subject t civil cnflict, natural disasters and/r scial unrest. All ONZ staff are required t heed the advice f lcal staff and lcal authrities in relatin t security issues, and fllw security guidelines as applicable. Staff must be prepared t use their judgement t avid undue risks t themselves and t make assessments f ptential hazards r danger during field visits, in the knwledge that ONZ will always respect and supprt a decisin t cntinue r withdraw frm any part f a field visit fr reasns related t persnal security.
