The heart of World Vision's work is in helping communities build stronger and healthier relationships. World Vision helps communities help themselves. World Vision focuses on children because they are the best indicator of a community's social health. When children are fed, sheltered, schooled, protected, valued, and loved, a community thrives. World Vision Timor Leste (WVTL) began its first project in 1995 and opened its Dili office in 1999 as a prominent agency in the emergency relief effort to rebuild Timor Leste. Today, WVTL has offices in four districts: Dili, Aileu, Baucau and Bobonaro. WVTL staff are dedicated to achieving three goals: Health - promoting health, nutrition and access to clean water for mothers and children in target communities Education - improving holistic education of children within target communities Community Economic Development developing economically sustainable and resilient households. Cashiers work collaboratively with staff in the National Office and Area Programs to support all

2 finance, administration and logistics services required to support staff in achieving WVTLs goals. PURPOSE OF POSITION: To assist the Finance department to manager Petty Cash, Staff Business Advances. ROLE DIMENSION / DESCRIPTION End Results Expected Time Spent Responsibilities Prepare Petty Cash voucher after verifying invoices and confirming that goods are received and services rendered. Stamp PAID on all documents Ensure all the petty cash expenditures are adequately documented with proper level of approval and consistent with policies and procedures of the organization Prepare petty cash reimbursement request on a regular basis Prepare the journal voucher for all employees claims for Dili based staff Liaise with the suppliers when checks are ready for collection Maintain filing system for all financial documents Assist in stock counts as necessary Assist in banking tasks as assigned, including depositing and withdrawing cash Assist in other administrative tasks as assigned Page 2/5

3 80% Capacity Development Actively engage in on-the-job training and identify formal training opportunities through the Performance Development Management process to continually improve your work processes and outcomes. Capacity Development plan developed and implemented. PDM process completed. 10% Collaboration Assist in humanitarian emergency disaster management Collaborate with Finance and Administration staff in district offices and the National Office. Evidence of discussion/meetings with relevant WVTL officers. 10% Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: (The following knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acquired through a combination of formal schooling, self-education, prior experience, or on-the-job training.) Education Completed at least high school level with accounting background

4 Some formal education in accounting Knowledge & Skills Computer literate in Excel and Word Essential Skills and knowledge in Sun System Accounting Software and Vision Software Desirable Problem Good communication skills (both written and oral) in English Experience Prior working experience in the related capacity with accounting background Work Environment The role requires collaboration with a geographically dispersed team and requires limited travel to districts.
