1 Local Marketing Coordinator Location: [Europe & the Middle East] [Bosnia and Herzegovina] Town/City: Bosnia and Herzegovina Category: Marketing and Resource Development Job Type: Fixed term, Full-time WORLD VISION BIH LOCAL MARKETING COORDINATOR PURPOSE OF POSITION The purpose of the Local Marketing Coordinator position is to contribute to implementation of WV sustainability strategy through implementation the local marketing and resource acquisition plan. Local Marketing Coordinator will provide leadership on a range of local marketing and fundraising initiatives, including WV branding, communications and building relationships with potential sponsors, organizing events, maintaining data and reporting. This position is a part of Resource Development Unit (RDU). MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES 60% of time -Local Marketing and Resource Acquisition Develops and implements annual local marketing and resource acquisition plan, in line with WVBIH sustainability strategy and in collaboration with RDU Manager and Strategy, Impact and Influence (SI&I) Unit. Assesses local needs, opportunities and implementation results, and develops/recommends modifications to generate and/or increase unit revenues. Page 1/5

2 Develops a thorough understanding of and compliance with all legislation related to corporate or individual fundraising. Assumes responsibility for all aspects of planning, preparation, implementation and follow up on local marketing and resource acquisition activities; schedules and coordinates logistics and people for each initiative. Explores and tests different local marketing and resource generating opportunities; identifies and launches appropriate fundraising tools and methodologies. Works towards the accomplishment of targets by obtaining finances, in-kind donations, sponsorship or volunteer service. Monitors progress against the plan and advises the RDU Manager when adjustments to the plan are required. Looks for opportunities to customize/enhance local marketing and resource acquisition initiatives. 25% of time - External liaison and positioning Builds new and maintains profitable, long-term fundraising relationships with corporations and potential corporate and individual sponsors Contributes to increasing the profile and brending of WVBIH and improving its resource acquisition potentials throughout the country. Engages, develops and maintains professional relationships with potential corporate and

3 individual sponsors in order to promote one off donations and regular giving. Represents WVBIH at meetings with potential local sponsors/resource providers and builds external relationships, with support of relevant staff. Engages and oversees the work of fundraising volunteers; acts as a resource to support their efforts; provides orientation, coaching and guidance. Liaises with relevant PR, internet and marketing agencies, with Comms Officer support to develop and promote WB as marketable brand. 10% of time - Data management and reporting Maintains appropriate records to ensure local marketing fundraising income is processed efficiently with timely acknowledgements, thank you letters and relevant reports with credible evidence. Researches, collates and analyses data that allows for the improvement of existing initiatives and identification of new fundraising income streams. Develops, manages and updates database to record sponsors contacts and preference information, in coordination with Knowledge Management Officer. Maintains effective communication with sponsors through face to face meetings, daily correspondence, follow up on initiatives, report writing and ongoing relationship management. Collects and documents lessons learnt and best practices. Shares information on local marketing and resource acquisition efforts and accomplishments with the organization at all levels.

4 Produces progress reports as per requirements. 5% of time - Learning and capacity building Contributes to shared learning and capacity building of self and others in the organization. Proactively liaises with the relevant Learning Hub and other relevant WVl structures and initiatives to share learning and increase capacities of self, RDU unit and overall organization in the area local marketing and resource acquisition potentials. Contributes to nurturing of communities of practice (CoPs) among internal teams and external partners. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 1.University degree in Marketing, Business or Business Administration 2.A creative and proactive approach to all areas of work with a can do attitude 3.Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to persuade and negotiate effectively at senior levels 4.At least one years relevant experience in business development, account management, sales strategies and social marketing. 5.Good computer skills including: Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. 6.Excellent knowledge of English and local languages. 7.Valid driving license B category.
