1 Job Description Job Title Reports to: Director, Enrollment Services FLSA Status: Exempt Level: 212 Position Class: Job Summary: The supports the Director, Enrollment Services in the overall operations of the student life cycle from inquiry through registration by implementing recruitment and admission strategies across all campus locations. The Assistant Director, Enrollment Services is primarily responsible for the coordination and oversight of college-wide recruitment and orientation functions. The will provide leadership and act as a liaison with SCF Venice student services and area directors. Applicants may be asked to demonstrate any or all of the following duties: 1. Supports the Director in providing leadership, direction and oversight to the daily operations of Admissions, Enrollment Technology, College Call Center, division-wide front desk operations and marketing. Assumes leadership role in the absence of the director to all employees and functions of the unit. 2. Coordinates, develops, and implements the annual college-wide recruitment and orientation calendar to provide a comprehensive recruitment and enrollment plan. 3. Supports the Director in the management of admissions application processing and initial residency classficiations; including all corresponding documentation for auditing purposes. 4. Assists in the overall unit budgeting process to include material and supply order approvals. 5. Increases student access to enrollment through the use of information technology including chat sessions, calling campaigns, website management to promote successful registration of applicants. Provides direct oversight to all unit social media activities and implemented strategies to ensure quality control. Job Description, Revised 7/2018 Page 1 of 5

2 6. Works to support the Director in project coordination for division-wide marketing initiatives. Assists in the design of recruitment, admissions, and orientation publications and materials. 7. Supervises the Specialist, Recruitment and New Student position (2) to include: interviewing, hiring, training, work assignment, and annual evaluations. 8. Coordinates enrollment activities across all campuses and within service area high schools. 9. Provides support to the College Call Center in absence of Director. 10. Develops a data-driven goal oriented recruitment plan to be implemented by the New Student Specialists. Ensures goal progress by providing strategic ideas and recommendations to achieve productivity and optimal enrollments. 11. Acts as division liaison to support SCF Venice Enrollment and Student Affairs. Collaborates cross-departmentally to ensure consistency in student affair operations and overall customer service. Reports recommended strategies to the Director to improve daily operations within SCF Venice Enrollment and Student Affairs. 12. Coordinates with the Director to facilitate the F-1 international admissions process to include the issuing of I-20 s and compliance with all regulations concerning admitting students on legal visas and immigration status. 13. Performs other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience: Bachelor s degree required and three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master s degree is preferred. Supervisory Experience: Three or more years as a supervisor with responsibility for scheduling and assigning work, training new employees and assisting others with problems is required. Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, legal documents and professional journals. Ability to respond to technical questions and/or complaints from college leadership, customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the community. Ability to write detailed reports, business correspondence and policy and procedures manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public. Math Ability: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. 3 as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram/chart form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete changes in situations. Computer Skills: Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, college database, , Internet, and reports retrieval software. Basic working knowledge of administrative software packages and possesses an ability to analyze system setup and demonstrate resolutions to technical issues. Certificates and Licenses: None required. Responsibility for People and Property: Responsible for student assistant staffing at the information desk. Responsibility for Communication: Internal Contacts: This position has routine contact with SCF students and all levels of SCF faculty and staff. External Contacts: Routine contact with prospective and enrolled students, parents, school districts, and school personnel.
