Leadership work in the public sector is complex and challenging. The public sector generally fares well in applying impressively high levels of cognitive skill and intellectual intelligence to its work. For many organisations and individuals, staff survey results indicate that leaders and managers are doing less well and/or are perceived as not demonstrating the same strong skills in the people aspects of organisational leadership. Generally, this results in less than optimal outcomes in many areas of organisational health and productivity. In times of intense budget scrutiny and constraint, people leadership matters more than ever - to outcomes, engagement and organisational resilience. The Leadership Mastery and Insight program is designed to address these issues. It builds on the strong and successful foundation of the Leading with Emotional and Social Intelligence program, which Di and Barry delivered from 2004 to The three day program responds to the public sector s high priority of capitalising on the full potential of its current and next generations of senior leaders. The program offers a range of opportunities to explore and apply the Knowing, Doing, Being framework to your leadership self, leadership challenges and professional relationships. Who should attend The program is designed for public sector managers who wish to build the people skills of leadership. These skills, sometimes referred to as the soft skills of leadership, are often the hardest ones to master. The program is designed for participants drawn from a wide range of departments and agencies, this provides an environment of rich discussions and an effective setting for networking. 360 Feedback report 360 feedback is an important element of the program, and is undertaken using the motional and Social Intelligence Profile (ESIP). 360 feedback, with its focus on comparing one s own views with others assessments of our performance and behaviour, lies at the very heart of emotional intelligence.
