1 Annual Report JULY JUNE 2018

2 A Message from the President and CEO. Expanding services to our clients and the opening of new commercial and service opportunities have highlighted another eventful year at JCI. Several record accomplishments are: serving 1,126 persons, placement of 300 persons with disadvantages and barriers to employment into meaningful and productive jobs. The expansion of Pre-Employment and Transition Services programs in Johnston, Lee, Harnett, Sampson and Wayne Counties has rapidly proven successful in providing a resource for over 300 students with disabilities. There were 33 youth enrolled in post-secondary/advanced training and 27 youth placed in work-based learning. JCI could not have accomplished so much without the support of our employers and agency partners located throughout the counties served, and the many commercial partners to whom we deliver quality products and supplier solutions. This year boasts the highest manufacturing revenues in the history of the company and the employment growth of the company in manufacturing has increased by 24%, many placed through our programs.

3 Additional accomplishments are continued supplier relationships with large national and international companies and the continuation of our relationships within the field of education. Our long-term partnership with Johnston County Public Schools through our Occupational Course Study program in all high schools has expanded into JCI providing Pre-Employment Transition Services. The success of the materials center for distribution of science kits with Johnston County s elementary and middle school science classes through the i3laser science kit sustainability initiative has generated continuing interest in other schools districts. Our programs continue to serve five counties; Johnston, Lee, Wayne, Harnett and Sampson and are always open to everyone in these communities. Please consider a visit to learn more about what we do and how our program services are impacting lives. Our manufacturing capabilities continue to assist our commercial partners with workforce talent provided through our employment services. We graciously thank and acknowledge the many supporting agencies and commercial partners who provide the support, guidance, and opportunities for JCI to use our talents to make life richer and more personally fulfilling to those in our communities with disabilities and barriers to the workforce. Employment is Empowerment and JCI is working for you.
