Students will be required to undertake both complex calculations, from the area of management accounting, and analyse results and techniques. Examination of this module will reflect both the structure and content of professional accounting modules. Learning Outcomes On completion of this module the learner will/should be able to 1. Evaluate, contrast and criticise the fundamental and advanced theories, concepts, principles, methods and techniques of management accounting. 2. Appraise and evaluate the strategic impact of decisions having evaluated the potential outcomes from different courses of action. 3. Undertake analysis, interpretation and evaluation of performance measurement and control systems. 4. Analyse and appraise ethical issues facing management accountants. Teaching and Learning Strategies The module will be taught predominantly through a combination of lectures and tutorials.
