Job Purpose and Objective (state the overall purpose and objectives of the position). This role is responsible for the ongoing management, consultancy and support of all core business systems and applications as well as ensuring these applications stay relevant to the business. In addition this role is required to proactively promote best practice IT systems & solutions to improve service delivery, increase productivity and reduce costs to the business while at the same time ensuring that adequate controls, processes and procedures are in place and documented in order to minimise risk for the business. 3. Primary duties and responsibilities (start with verb). Strategic & Planning Ensure that technical and process architecture solutions are designed to support current business requirements and future needs. Review business and information systems needs and ensure that the Application team is correctly structured and resourced to deliver effective and efficient IT systems, service and support to the business. Purpose / Outcome Ensure systems and applications are fit for purpose. Systems and applications roadmap are maintained and kept relevant. Est. % of time (Total 100%) 20% Liaise with business unit and department managers to develop and implement long-range and short-range plans for corporate information strategies and solutions to improve service delivery, increase productivity and reduce costs of business. Develop and implement IT policies and practices

2 for the business and ensure that all IT policies are clearly documented, communicated and adhered to throughout the business. Engage in the identification and evaluation of new technologies and recommendation fit for adoption. IT Operation Management Drive the ongoing development and implementation of various business systems and applications, ensuring that that these not only meet the needs of the business but are also managed in accordance with best practice project management processes. Responsible to be the subject expert on the core applications used by the company. Drive the continued improvement and rollout of existing systems to ensure completed in the most efficient and effective method. Provide support and advice in both determining technical requirements as well driving both the implementation and acceptance throughout the business. Manage the business applications support helpdesk functions. Responsible for the management of all external IT applications service providers on behalf CNCo, ensuring that Service Level Agreements (SLA s) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI s) are appropriate and regularly reviewed and that performance is measured periodically. Manage application systems to ensure that the most effective and cost effective systems are in place. Risk Management Ensure that Change Request procedures are established and enforced. Develop and maintain a disaster recovery strategy and executable plan. Ensure that the Company conforms to licensing requirements for all software used within the Ensure all applications used by the Company are well supported and meet the agreed service level. 3 Company. Monitor to ensure IT assets; data and information are secured, protected and auditable. Staff Management Manage a team by performing annual reviews, mentoring and training. Provide technical direction to staff, peers and subordinate management. Ensure all team members develop deep application and business process expertise that enables them to serve as trusted domain experts. Supervise staff on a day-to-day basis and provide adequate guidance, instruction and support to enable them to perform their tasks efficiently and effectively. Identify and establish adequate training and development programmes are in place for staff under management. Set Key Results Areas / Key Performance Indicators and development plans for all staff under management to measure, evaluate and improve performance and where necessary, take remedial action to ensure performance meets acceptable standards at all times. Project Management Define and maintain standards for the project teams & staff using Project Management Institute (PMI) guidelines, Quality Standards and Company requirements to implement projects in a manner that introduces economies of repetition, and meets financial expectations established at project start. Manage the prioritization of projects proposed by each of the business units in order to establish project management staffing levels, training, tools, and software across CNCo that will allow the project teams to achieve the Company s objectives with respect to given projects. Ensure IT resources are motivated and have the right competencies. Lead and manage high profile projects Coach team members on project management Ensure all IT projects are delivered on time, on budget and within scope 15% 10%

4 Provide leadership to ensure proper investments in tools, processes and people are done to govern Project Portfolio, Risk Reviews, Document Controls and Project Management Training. Direct and monitor work efforts to identify resource needs, perform quality review; and escalate functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately. Coordinate communication with all areas of the enterprise that impacts the scope, budget, risk, and resources of the work effort being managed. Budget Planning & Control Help manage and forecast IT Applications budgets. Maintain and track IT budget 5% Participate in the annual budget planning. Monitor and control IT spendings are kept within budget. 3.1 Supervisory/ Managerial Responsibilities - Please state if there is any budget and target figure to achieve. Job Specification State the education, experience, training, and technical skills necessary for entry into this job. Education: University Bachelor Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field.

5 ITIL V3 certified. PMP/ Prince2 certified. Experience: 15+ years of experience in application administration/management. 10+ years of experience in developing, implementing and maintaining IT systems and experience in running large scale application integration projects. 5+ years of hands-on experience with technologies such as HTML, Power Builder, PHP, ASP.NET(VB.NET, C#), Javascript, MS SQL and Crystal report. Working experience with SAP FICO/ Procurement an advantage. 5+ years of working experience with shipping, CRM and web applications. 10+ years of experience in middle IT management. ISO/ SEI CMM/ Six Sigma/ relevant quality assurance standards and quality improvement practices. Oracle and SQL Server experience and able to write T-SQL, PL SQL scripts an advantage. Experience in the shipping liner industry an advantage. Experience of vendor management. Proven track record of success in building capable and scalable team. Relationship management experience in support of Business units. Experience with business process reengineering. Required Skills: Ability to work within and lead groups to ensure efficiency and productivity. Ability to identify and prioritize actions to achieve goals and mitigate risk. Able to work cross-functionally and think both critically and strategically. Proven management skills covering projects, people, budgets and operating costs. Well-developed written and communication skills including proven decisiveness in dealings with managers, staff and suppliers. Strong analytical skills including proven experience in development, negotiation and management of service contracts and business cases to resolve problems or create efficiencies for the business. Highly developed organisation skills with strong evidence of ability to apply sound reasoning and judgment that represents the Company s best interests. Proven experience in the review and introduction of processes and improvement initiatives. Able to define specs for Power Builder, Mercator EDI, Crystal Report. 5.
