All staff who join New Directions undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. New team members also complete a comprehensive one week induction which covers compliance and quality assurance, as well as safeguarding training. Removing Risk All supply staff who work for our organisation complete a thorough vetting process. This includes: Face-to-face interviews, Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, employment and character referencing, eligibility to work and identity checks. Supply staff sign a New Directions code of conduct which encourages staff to maintain a high standard of service. All supply staff are issued with a photographic safeguarding document, which is ed to the school or college of assignment as part of the booking confirmation.
