1 Job Description Job title: Assessor (levels 2-5) Reports to: Reports for: Quality Performance Manager N/A Summary of Role To deliver, support and guide learners through framework and standalone qualifications providing a high-quality learning experience through consistent and monthly engagement activity and evaluation of learner and employer feedback. Ensuring continuous professional development and timely achievement of learner goals and qualifications Business Duties 1. To work within the guidance of the annual business plan 2. To deliver the Educ8 vision 3. To work in accordance with Educ8 s values and ethos 4. To work with Educ8 s Health and Safety policies and procedures 5. To demonstrate a commitment to ESDGC and reducing our carbon footprint 6. To ensure all funding is administered accurately, efficiently and provides value for money 7. To develop a culture of discipline in all that you do 8. To positively contribute to VSP activities, meetings and best practice groups Team Responsibilities 1. To take an active role in Team meetings, standardisation, design and development of assessing to assist the effective and creative delivery of framework and stand alone qualifications. 2. To highlight and discuss learner issues providing focussed learner support where required. 3. To support the end-to-end service approach of the Team and, where required, assist team members to ensure that all Learners receive their certificates and portfolios in a timely manner. 4. To contribute to the overall Team achievement of profiled learner outcomes. Assessor Performance 1. To ensure all KPI s are consistently achieved and performance is in line with profile on a monthly basis 2. To maintain a positive caseload of 40 (pro rata) active learners 3. To deliver qualifications via e portfolio to maximise full functionality

2 4. To undertake monthly monitoring and tracking of Learners progress ensuring Learners are on target to achieve their framework/learning plan 5. To ensure QA sampling is provided (if paper based) in line with agreed target date 6. To encourage occupational development of your learners via ongoing learning and development and promotion of Educ8 services. 7. To encourage, monitor and report on learner involvement within your role highlighting innovation and positive practice. 8. To actively engage and implement new assessment processes and techniques to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the quality of learning 9. To ensure all learners achieve their framework / learning plan in a timely manner 10. To ensure all operational and quality processes are consistently followed Learner and Employer Engagement 1. To work in conjunction with the QPM to undertake learner engagement visits obtaining feedback from learners and employers evaluating progress and learner satisfaction 2. To conduct and evaluate individual initial assessment ensuring all learners are on the correct programme at the right level 3. To develop positive relationships with learners and employers on a monthly basis 4. To actively promote the use of e-portfolio to all learners and employers 5. To ensure all learners participate in an exit interview, to be undertaken as part of quality assurance visits, which encompasses all aspects of the process 6. To actively promote Educ8 s products and services 7. To actively seek a minimum of 2 leads per month 8. To work with learners and employers to deal with queries and concerns regarding the quality of learning Individual Responsibilities 1. To maintain and develop knowledge of current products, services and funding streams. 2. To contribute to the Educ8 Self-Assessment process. 3. To actively engage in Continuous Professional Development. 4. To take responsibility for your own appraisal, support and supervision. 5. To work within the guidelines, policies and procedures of Educ8 at all times. 6.
