Discuss lack of active senior management participation at the various forums Training the employees on the importance of perfromance management Provide awareness to staff and councillors on the importance of PMS and its benefits to the institution and communities it serves. Advice us how to encourage Management in performance management Workshop for senior managers and all relevant stakeholders to promote culture of performance within the municipality. Assist municipalities to establish PMS steering committees Development of performance indicators and targets. Uniformity in the application of bottom layer and top layer SDBIPs. Assist in uniform application of performance rating for institutional PMS. Development of generic performance indicators standardise better and also align and streamline the legislative requirements around PMS, also lobby for COGTA to play a more leading role in PMS rather than Municipalities reporting more on Treasury requirements Look at having a uniformed and extensive reporting tool, especially for the various stakeholders e.g. national and provincial treasury, legislatures and COGTA.
