Deployed Bicycle Patrol for increased presence and community engagement. Three proactive enforcement projects targeted high crime areas and types in the downtown. Increased communication between Service units working in the downtown area has been ensuring concerns and information from the community are shared and addressed. Gang Suppression Strategy 92% Compliance check initiative Illegal firearm investigations 65% Expand community engagement Expand intervention process Partner on gang exit strategy 95% Gang Suppression Strategy 60 individuals associated with gangs arrested, more than $200,000 in drugs and cash seized and more than 40 weapons seized in the third quarter of Biker Enforcement Unit monitored a number of biker social events and arrested six motorcycle gang members. 43 arrests made of gang members who were not in compliance with curfew or other release conditions. Members participated in Guns and Gangs Strategy training in October with other Canadian criminal justice stakeholders. Project Hook - an operation targeting individuals who lure girls online for exploitation. 7 men were arrested on numerous charges including child luring. Sexual Assault Response Team video launched to provide information on reporting sexual assaults and obtaining resources. Response to Illicit Drugs Develop strategy - Enforcement 97% 99% Community Response to Illicit Drugs Working group established with partners in substance abuse services, including Addictions Foundation Manitoba and Main Street Project, for cross-training and knowledge exchange on opioid and methamphetamine addictions. Developing procedures for cannabis legalization with federal and provincial prosecution services. Project Riverbank - a multi-jurisdictional investigation that led to the seizure of $2.7 million in drugs, weapons and property in Western Canada as well as arrests of 10 people on 156 charges.
