1 Safer Dorset Fund This form is for office use only and is published for information Major Grant and Commissioning Assessment Guidance All allocation of funding from the Dorset Police and Crime Commissioner will be made via the Safer Dorset Fund. All external recipients of funding, whether directly commissioned, or commissioned via an approach made to the Police and Crime Commissioner, will be required to complete a Major Grants and Commissioning application form. These applications will be assessed by officers from the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner, and will be forwarded with a recommendation to the Police and Crime Commissioner for final decision. Assessment and Scoring Each application will be assessed in six areas; Eligibility Criteria, Governance, Evidence of Need, Outcomes, Outputs and Evaluation. All projects must meet the Eligibility and Governance criteria before being scored and assessed against the remaining four areas. d sections will be assessed using the following matrix Meets Police & Crime Plan Demonstrates robust research, planning and implementation plans Exceptional Excellent Good Fair Poor Exceptional Excellent Good Fair Poor Projects that score 4 or below on the matrix will not be recommended for consideration for funding. Projects scoring 7 and over on the matrix will be recommended for consideration for funding. Projects scoring 5 & 6 will be put forward to the Police and Crime Commissioner for consideration, but a request for additional work by the applicant may be made before funding can be granted,
