It is important to prioritize well, including time spent outside the comfort zone. It is important to learn to invest time rather than simply spend it. 1

2 2. 行銷是關鍵 Marketing is crucial in reaching critical mass and growing beyond. It involves identifying prospects, measuring market potential, communicating your concept, and making final sales. It involves distribution channel decisions and media/message decisions, then relentless execution within a sound long-range plan. 2

3 3. 顧客哲學 The customer is always right is sometimes not true. How do you deal with wrong customers without harming relationships with good clients? Your policies must be clear so that employees fully understand and effectively execute your philosophy. Your service philosophy must be affordable while providing the carefully defined values that create a competitive edge a tough balancing act. 3

4 4. 員工哲學 / 團隊建立 Employee additions should fit with your personal style and business strategy. There must be clear communication of expectation, and there must be training, ongoing performance assessment and rewards for good performance. There must also be strong action, including firing as necessary, to deal with unacceptable performance. 4

Carefully analyze the role of vendors in your business mix to assure your philosophy fits your needs. Include sources of financing in your thinking about vendor relationships. 14 14. 不要害怕 Concern about the potential loss of key clients or key employees can cause the entrepreneur to live in fear and to lose the feeling of independence. Dealing with the fear is important. Developing contingency plans is equally important. 14
