This programme is designed to prepare business professionals to take on more responsibility and equip them with the key competencies that they will need to be successful in the next step of their careers. / Programme structure / The programme is composed of four three-day modules that build on each other to enable participants to quickly acquire the required skills to be effective in their new positions. We strive in providing you with the best. / Programme objectives / The main objectives of this programme is to provide all the essential tools to managers to be more effective as individuals and team leaders. It will help participants to enhance the required competencies and skills to: Transit smoothly to a position with more responsibility. Be impactful in their new role more quickly. Manage themselves and team members effectively. Become a confident communicator and negotiator. Embrace a mind-set that is focused on solving problems proactively and, when appropriate, creatively. Designed in four modules, each module: o Is focused on one theme. o Progresses logically through the exploration of its theme. o Has logical continuity with the other modules, so that participants can build their knowledge and capabilities progressively. This mix is useful to: o Support different learning styles. o Offer opportunity to learn from varied sources. o Reinforce learning by presenting the content from various perspectives and contexts. o Offer numerous opportunities to experiment with and learn the tools and techniques, and test and adopt new behaviours. o Create a learning community in the organisation. An experiential, practical, and interactive learning approach. Thanks to this approach that is based on research on how adults learn, participants are more likely to: o Acquire new skills at a faster pace. o Retain these skills in the long term. o Remain engaged not only during the various workshops and meetings, but more generally in their learning journey. 5 Programme Structure 2and Content The duration of the programme will be over 12 to 16 weeks as presented in the diagram below. Between each module, you get the opportunity to go back to your office and reflect what you learnt. The structure of this programme supports the learning process as it allows you to consolidate the competencies acquired in a module before starting to follow the module. 6 3About the Faculty Marie-Laure Caille - Course Director/Lead Faculty Marie-Laure Caille is the director of the human factor. She is an executive coach and training expert known for her ability to work at different hierarchical level (from junior managers to senior executives) and across industries. She has led executive programmes with participants from very diverse cultural backgrounds as well as local programmes with participants exclusively from Greater China and India. Participants to her programmes have consistently praised her ability to create a positive and a dynamic learning environment, and to stimulate innovative thinking. She has over 20 years of experience working in Asia Pacific for diverse organizations including multi nationals Boston Consulting Group(BCG), international government bodies (UN, OECD), start-ups, and academic organizations (ESSEC) Business School. She has written extensively on numerous topics including, on management and organizational practices, and conducted various consulting projects. Marie-Laure is a certified professional co-active coach (CPCC). She holds an MSc from the London School of Economics, and is a CFA chater holder. Ta-Wei Chao Ta-Wei Chao has more than 15 year experience in providing executive education and management consulting to senior executives to multi-nationals, emerging companies and governments. Globalized professional with extensive working and teaching experiences in Europe and Asia. Inspiring and an innovative management educator. Trained executives on negotiations, cross cultural management, leadership and innovation for prestigious public and private organizations all around the world. Advised clients on strategic and operational issues across multiple areas and led transformations for them to achieve competitive advantage. Demonstrated repeated success delivering market penetration and share expansion for Asian markets. Highly motivated to continue contributing to the development and delivery of executive education and corporate learning in the fast growing Asia Pacific region. Anne-Valerie Ohsson-Corboz Anne-Valerie Ohsson-Corboz is a business author, strategy consultant and an executive education professional. She has co-authored several books including a Dream with a Deadline: Turning Strategy into action (with Jacques Horovitz, FT, Prentice Hall, 2007); Smart big moves: A story of Strategic Breakthroughs (with Paul Strebel, FT, Prentice Hall, 2008) and Effectual Entrepreneurship (Routledge,2011). Anne-Valerie has written for Sloan Management Review and the FT Handbook of management and has published a substantial number of articles and case studies. She has served as an advisor to the US National Intelligence Council in the development of global scenarios to advice the presidential administration. In her previous role, Anne-Valerie worked at IMD, a leading global business school based in Switzerland. She then moved to Singapore and helped found the Center for Management practice at SMU. Prior to IMD, Anne- Anne-Valerie held international marketing roles at Pfizer and the International Olympic Committee. Anne-Valerie has lived and worked in Europe, South Africa, the Middle East and Asia. She currently lives in Singapore.
