Director Ticketing & Digital Projects Nil External Web Services Providers Internal customers (employees of Adelaide Festival Centre Trust) Able to make day to day decisions within framework of the role Must obtain Management approval for all purchases prior to commissioning Working hours may vary dependant on the demands of the role; this may include either overnight or on weekends. Adelaide Festival Centre is central to the Arts in South Australia and an integral part of community life in the state. As part of the Digital Projects team, you will be the sole web developer responsible for multiple web assets. We are dedicated to being agile, and always listening to our users so that our UX is exceptional. We encourage creativity, honesty To develop and maintain business systems to ensure the AFC continues to remain at the forefront of online ticketing and event promotion via e-marketing and emerging on-line technologies. To keep abreast of new and developing trends in the information technology sector and ensure that the AFC is making the best use of its information technology resources.

2 Key Result Area / Accountabilities: Assume a shared responsibility for the development and maintenance of the BASS ticketing environment s web presence. Development of database applications and user interfaces across the AFCT organisation, working with both internal and external web servers across both Microsoft and Open Source environments. Ensure all development work is carried out in with best-practice version control methodologies. Work with programming staff to ensure all code is compliant with AFCT standards and procedures and meets best practice standards. Perform ongoing maintenance of legacy software tools and systems to maintain compliance with relevant software environments. This includes the introduction, documentation and retirement of these tools in accordance with business needs and usage patterns. Through enhancements and development, ensure that AFCT is offering the best possible online user experience Provide design advice, creative advice and contribute towards strategy development with regard to our online customer journeys. Continue the development of work practices and supporting documentation ensuring compliance with the Auditor Generals requirements. Initiate and participate in project-oriented work as required on either a team or departmental level. Undertake training by or of other AFCT ICT staff as required to ensure skill-based redundancy for key functions and updating of skills to match software and procedural changes. Fulfil performance management tasks as directed. Assist management in decisions relating to software development, development resources and planning. Be flexible in your work approach and be prepared to test some of your own work before passing on to UAT. Assist with maintenance of Risk Register. Perform any other duties as directed by the Director, within level of skills, experience and competence. Provide outstanding customer service on a daily basis by demonstrating respect, listening to and working with our customers, both internal and external, to achieve positive outcomes, where possible, for all involved. At all times behave in a manner which is conducive to the values and expected behaviours at the Festival Centre. Be aware of and comply with Adelaide Festival Centre policies and procedures including EEO, prevention of Bullying and Sexual Harassment in the workplace and customer service guidelines. Records Management: All records created within the conduct of AFCT business to be managed in accordance with AFCT s Record Management Policy, associated policies, procedures and legislation. EBMS (Event Business Management System) Attend compulsory EBMS Training and seek further EBMS Training as needed to perform this role.

Cooperate with all reasonable departmental policies and procedures. Comply with the WHS legislation. Wear and maintain Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as directed. Report a hazard, incident, injury or illness arising from workplace activities within 24 hours. Implement WHS policies, procedures and safe systems of work.

4 Key Competencies: Requirement Qualifications / Education Relevant tertiary qualifications in Design, Computer Science and or Systems Engineering Highly Desirable Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Demonstrate sound knowledge and experience with database design, development and maintenance Established skills in the Microsoft operating systems and web deployment tools and services, preferably in both Windows and Open Source environments An understanding of and experience in web application security Well-established programming skills in common web application languages, including Java, Ruby, PHP and.net with a particular emphasis on the Microsoft suite of applications. Familiarity with common Version Control applications and associated practices and procedures. Understanding of ticketing and e-commerce concepts Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage and meet deadlines for project work Lateral thinking and problem-solving skills Comfortable in supporting and working with less technical users A committed approach to quality assurance and customer service principles as appropriate for a user and service oriented area within a customer focused business unit Demonstrated willingness to develop and learn new skills as required in new technology areas Development of supportive, productive and cooperative team relationships within the ICT Team Ability to work cooperatively, productively and effectively within the AFC ICT Department and other areas of the AFC and its stakeholders Demonstrated ability to make decisions and solve complex problems in high-pressure situations.
