3 Scheduling is a System An organized, purposeful structure that consists of interrelated and interdependent elements. These elements continually influence one another (directly or indirectly) to maintain their activity and the existence of the system, in order to achieve the goal of the system. Definition:

13 Productive Scheduling Primaries: Anything of a high dollar (no matter the length) Secondaries: Any appt with some dollar value (just not a high amount) Tertiary: Any appt with no dollar value at all

14 Goal Goal is $2625 for doctor Primary = $1200/avg Secondary = $300/avg 2 primaries = $ secondaries = $2400 Tertiaries = never hit our goal

22 Cancellation Calls Remember that stuff happens Find out if everything is ok If not acceptable let them know and put them on hold Never make it ok for them to cancel Tell them of policy and document Reschedule with agreement If trouble patient don t reschedule
