2 THE REDBALLOON STORY OUR PURPOSE RedBalloon is an online experience retailer. We pioneered experiential gifting in Australia and New Zealand and have delivered more than 1.8 million experiences to consumers and businesses since launching in RedBalloon has started a happiness revolution - one amazing experience at a time! We believe everyone deserves to have fun, feel good and be happy. We believe happiness starts with a drop, becomes a ripple and creates a wave. And we believe happiness is amplified when shared. Put simply, we are in the business of fun and are passionate about giving people more good times. RedBalloon has come a long way from its humble beginnings born in the front room of Founding Director Naomi Simson s home, with little more than a second-hand computer and her canine companion Dexter. For Naomi, RedBalloon was an experiment to test whether a company could be successful by simply listening to its people and customers and delivering a great experience to both. Kristie Buchanan, CEO This experiment has evolved into a business providing more than 3,000 experiences in every state across Australia and New Zealand, with close to 1,000 suppliers, over 2,000 corporate clients and is powered by a team of more than 60 RedBallooners. Our experiences range from hot air balloon rides to cooking classes; massages to rally drives; flying trapeze to parasailing; learning to fly and photography workshops. 2
