1 A RETROSPECT The HR Conclave is one of the flagship events of CII Andhra Pradesh. The Conclave has over the years been addressed by stalwarts from the HR fraternity & Industry. The Conclave has always witnessed overwhelming response and has seen participation of over 300 delegates from industry & academia. The Eighth edition of the HR Conclave was held on 12 August 2011 with the theme Leadership for Emerging India. 4 The 2007 edition of HR Conclave focused on Building Employee Engagement through better understanding of organizations which have successfully managed to evolve and sync employee engagement to drive organizational goals. 5 The HR Conclave on Changing face of Leadership - Transactional Leadership to Transformational Leadership aimed at addressing the various Issues, Challenges and Opportunities faced by the global leaders in the globally changing scenario and the need to define a global leader, who is ready to transform the organization and equip to lead from the front. The Conference attempted to create a road map to identify and address the challenges & opportunities for the true global leader who could lead the transition. The HR Conclave 2003 on Revisiting HR Strategy focused on the need to revisit the HR strategy and the way forward to transform the HR organization to partner with line management on an equal footing.
